This is the best video ever! I’m 68 and still remember my dad teaching and including me in his building projects. He didn’t care that I was a girl. I learned how to use all of his power tools and he taught me all of the tricks. My two sons also got to experience working with grandpa. We were so lucky. Thank you for including your sons. They will remember this forever.

Good..!!! What an absolutely brilliant video, Jesse. Being that I'm a British viewer in the UK, this video just highlights what I perceive as the American dream. Out in the country building a cabin with your family and for your family. Kaiden, You are a phenomenal young man with a strong willingness to learn and a brilliant work ethic. Helping your Dad and taking part is more than most kids do these days. I know this channel doesn't feature useless sponsorship, but it would be awesome if a tool manufacturer or supplier saw Kaidens' potential and invested in his future with a fully loaded toolbox of his own. This young man is learning so many valuable life skills. The boys are definitely growing up quickly and have taken inspiration from those around them like Pat. When Noah shouted Good..! I couldn't stop laughing. Well done, I really enjoyed this video Regards Austin

This is a magical life you are giving your kids. All the choices you have ever made in your lifetime has led up to these moments - which will in turn enrich their lives, their kids' lives, and onward. I really can't stress enough how much you are putting into the world - not only with how you raise a family, but how you share your approach to it. Amazing work, Jesse.

Yea I was thinking of incorporating this into that investment property. Build a huge like 40x40 walkout basement with the ICF decking and then put a little 16x20 tiny house on top of part of it, the rest would be a big open concrete deck. Would be cheap to build and I think it would be neat

Wow, it was so great to see you and your boys helping with the tiny cabin. Nearly 50 years ago our family built a winterized 24’x30’ cottage in Northern Alberta with many weekend trips, while my wife had to work, with my two sons, about the same age as your boys, driving nails. I had construction power but no battery or pressurized gas tools. My sub floor over the insulation was 1x6 t&g boards that my old tarp didn’t keep all the rain out during our return to the city - bad mistake. My sons love to still build structures although as hobbies, their work being quite different. I am proud of how great a product they produce so expect you will see the same result. In retirement in Nova Scotia I am back building things with my sons, a 12x16 insulated beach house, several decks and stairs to the beach and a solar lumber kiln just starting. My younger son purchased a bandsaw mill this year and with a supply of saw logs on the property, he will have a lumber supply for projects into his retirement that starts next week. Enjoy your videos and the great interaction with your helpers. I worrry about the potential for theft/vandalism at your site. We never had a problem so hope you are also secure. We never had too much to steal compared to all the materials at your site.Take care.

Great job so far, didn't expect you would get dried in in this video! One tip with the diesel heater, just suspend the fuel pump on some loops of cable ties, makes a huge difference with the sound! I have the same kind of membrane pump in my van, only in 12V, they are really nice but can also make a lot of noise, I would recommend to mount it on some wide rubber rings made from hydraulic hose, short bolt and nut for the pump feet, woodscrews for mounting it to the surface.Should look like the pump sitting on mini tires then... Thanks a lot for the XXL video that brought me through a cold afternoon! 👍👍👍

They will be so, so Grateful one day for all your teaching, advices, no University could not do it ! You can learn basics from the book, but.....doing it really teach you the best ! That for the video, I sure learned a lot, will do some of your stuff, at my own Summer Cabin, right on Arctic Circle, Rovaniemi , Finland, when I go there next Summer, like Solar System, and maybe Water Heater System, I am also Off Grid, have no electricity, and have Outhouse in there. Fond Memories - when I was in my early teens, my grandmother bought an unusual piece of property in New Hampshire. A camping site was being sold. She bought the outhouse. It was on three acres at the southern end of lake Winona. The outhouse wasn't really an outhouse, it was the facilities, toilets, showers, sinks. over several years the outhouse became a cabin, only one toilet was kept, one shower was kept, and two sinks were kept. A sleeping porch was built along the front, and two bedrooms were built along the back. Sadly, when my mom died the property was sold. Other than the bugs in the springtime, I love New Hampshire, and I miss it a lot.

As a side note....we struggled with pipes for years until we eventually took the shower head off, screwed on a 1/4" air fitting and back blew the whole system back to a faucet near the well.(we have a tee at the pitless) when that thing blows air, we're done. No problems since. We can get to -30 F.
