Over-masking can wreak havoc on your skin. Especially if they’re mud/charcoal/detox etc masks... Maybe rethink that challenge...

I've actually done something similar without any detrimental effects to my skin. However, I tended towards moisturizing masks, and didn't use any overly stripping masks since I have normal/dry skin.

To everyone saying that masking every night will wreck your skin- I'll meet you halfway but urge you to consider that not all masks are stripping. I've masked every night for a full month without any negative benefits, but I did about 75% hydrating masks. No, don't do super stripping masks every night, but there are masks that can be used nightly with a lot of success. Heck, I've actually done 2 masks per day with great success- HA sheet mask before makeup, something else at night. This is my go-to in the depths of winter to keep my skin from crying.

I don’t know if you’re comfortable talking about it but I’m going through something similar, I’m wondering if you’re able to talk about whose idea was it to divorce. Not the reason or anything but who wanted it or if it was mutual, in my situation it wasn’t entirely mutual and I don’t know if that makes It easier or harder. So you don’t keep your eye glasses in case your contacts need to come out? My glasses are my biggest problem w purses. Even a slim case just takes up room. Also be careful your key doesn’t scratch your sunglasses up.

Mariakayc Try using a soft case with a clip. I clip mine on the top of my purse on the inside and switch them out its been a life saver for me 😀

You might try getting a soft case for your suglasses. Also something I never see anyone talk about is eye health and safety. I see everyone talk about skin care but nothing about protecting eyes. Maybe its just me.

I find if I mask every night, even if I use different types, it is too much for my skin. I find every other night is good. I also alternate sheet mask and cream or clay mask.

I love the idea of a May Mask challenge. I love sheet masks but I am low in supply right now. I do have quite a bit of skin care- not necessarily masks but things that I need to try consistently to see if they actually do anything. So I will try to keep up and be cheering you on. This was fun to see. I love your purse. I have a purse addiction myself. Seems whenever I go to the Thrift store I come home with a new purse. Hahaha! I donate a LOT of toys and anything I can to them and we partake in the auctions for charity. I just got a Guess purse there for 25$ and an American Eagle purse that is new for 5$ and on my vanity are two antique boxes. One I think is a letter box that I store my powder products in and it has a beautiful wood and hand painted. I got a pretty old jewelry box. I have a thing for tins and boxes. LOL

I need to do this challenge with you! I have so many masks too! Is it okay to do a mask every night? I always thought doing masks was like exfoliating where it’s recommended to only do a couple times a week... or no? I’d love information on this. :)

You can definitely mask nightly but it really does depend on which masks. Some are recommended to not use more than 1-2 times a week. Others that are gentle can be used nightly. So I would just look at the packaging to see what the recommend on the mask. Generally hydrating masks can be used every night. So I will probably be rotating stronger and more gentle masks if that makes sense.
