I really hope lillian is found before the 4th. i would hate for her to leave this area. We came down Saturday evening looking, two times Sunday and I Monday met the portajohns on the truck leaving out and then 9:30 pm we came back and eased around the roads on the other side of the hwy til 12:00 and never saw a sign. If I had found her I would have sent crc a message 16:32 and been on my way taking her home. I hope and pray Ya'll find her. If it is a dog or a child missing it worries me very much. Dennis

Are there any barns, outbuildings that she could get under? My daughters's dog got spooked with fireworks and somehow managed to get out their fenced back yard. Missing for three days in the city. They put flyers out everywhere and someone spotted him under an old building two blocks from her home. Hopefully Lillian will make her way to you all

Old school for catching a dog. 1st Don’t do any of the above or call them or chase them or other human things. Humans hearts are in the right place but dog language doesn’t understand that. It doesn’t work. When you see her lay down on your side with your back to her… submit and the hard part … wait. When she approaches offer your snout / face only. You should have your hands close to your face or butt… they do that too. When she offers herself ( you must wait or she will bolt again) then take her collar in a way that she can’t slip it i.e. don’t pull towards her nose. She’s full of confusion and trying to work things out and all she is seeing / hearing is those around her doing confusing human things. Speak some dog to her she needs it.

Greetings from Northeast Ohio. This is the advice I told them. Get down on the ground. The only way you’re gonna catch a lily and now it’s with a live trap in an area where she was last seen with Roxy’s clothes and food and water in the trap.

Situations happen with dogs. A good majority are spooked by fireworks and gun fire. Our precious little man crossed over the rainbow bridge from cancer and we are devastated. However what bothers me about this situation is the burden and stress is put on you and your neighbors. She (Rox) should be there looking herself for Lillian. God bless you and your family and neighbors in your search. I hope Lillian is found or some great family found her and takes care of her. People need to realize that animals get frightened and need protection. There are times I think animals have more sense than humans.

hi there if it were me then i would put something that have rox scent near the trap and i would put the trap out at early morning or at evening when it is more cooler outside. if you have one then you could allso put a live trail camera that is pointed to the trap that is livestreaming (if you have one) in this way then you do not need to go out and check every 2 hours or more, just check the livestream and you will see if lillian is in the trap. and i would put the trap in a wooded area were she have been spottet becasue when lillian bolt then she will bolt to a place she can hide in and bushes/ forest and so on is excellent hiding places. just some tip how i would do it, i hope this helps :)

If you need something that smells like Rox, try a dirty T-shirt. Dogs are good smellers and can recognize something old.

Any Neighbors property that have seen her more than others ? Might be where to try at first with the trap, that way others can check the trap more often. Sounds like she has found a spot that has food and water access. Could be someone's Barn or Shed. Also put a towel or some type of cover over the trap, that way it looks more secure.

When dogs are that frightened they often (almost always) will NOT go to even their owners. Often the only way to catch them is live traps.

You need something that has Roxane’s scent on it. Place that in the live trap to help catch her. Maybe a solar fan from the dollar store to hook on the cage or a dog cooling gel mat can help keep her cool if caught

It is none of my business and I do not mean this in any rude or condescending way because I don't know the whole situation but I had a chihuahua dog that I rescued 10 years ago out of a put female hoarding situation down kind of towards where my mom was raised in California and she's now unfortunately bless her little heart is in heaven her name was lily. Gosh she only was like maybe not even a 5 lb Chihuahua but she was skittish the exact same way. And would try to bolt around fireworks and stuff too unfortunately. She was the type of dog that would only come to my voice or my husband's Voice or my son's voice this situation touched my heart because it seems so similar in what I used to have to watch for and go through with Lily and in saying that I would think that she might be the same type of dog that's only going to come to people that she's very very familiar with. But maybe it would be good if the couple people that she's very familiar with could come back down and search or call her with you she might come to familiar people that she knows and that she feels safe with. Maybe the owners can come back and call her it's different I think of being in person and maybe they can come back with more and more fireworks going off in the next couple days it might frighten her more anyhow do you have went above and beyond and I think that is pretty good of you I pray and hope this situation has a good resolution God bless you for putting in so much effort and helping stay safe❤

I have watched CRC from the very beginning ! But this whole issue has made me very disappointed in them. I know accidents happen, but there was no reason for this. Chihuahuas are very sensitive dogs! Taking her to a strange area with lots of people, loud noises and she didn’t have her contained. Then they leave and go home and expect their friends to search and find their dog, then she does a video and the first thing she does is talk about Mike!!!! you’re great people helping look for sweet dog shows what good friends you are, I never leave negative response on any video. It’s always positive. But this is un call for irresponsible and she should’ve been back there looking for her dog. I am now unsubscribed to them and I will never watch them again. God bless you for looking for the sweet puppy. You’re a good person.

I don't care how upset she was she should still be there looking for her dog. If it was my dog or my child I would never give up until I got her back. Set the trap up so it won't trip. Set canned cat food on a small plate and water in the trap and cover the back 1/2 to keep the sun off the food. The hope is she'll keep returning to the trap to eat and drink. I hope Rox left towels that she rubbed all over her body for Lillian to small to help draw her to the trap.
