The easiest way is to use the air duster to blow air into both sides.

What is the grease used? How frequently should we grease?
@miicoffee6 ай бұрын
Any food safe grease should do the trick.
@JasonGabler5 ай бұрын
I would recommend a small amount silicone grease. It is generally food safe/non-toxic and lubricates metal, plastic and rubber.

The flap for the declumper, do you make it flat? Push it inwards? Does it make a difference or no
@miicoffee2 ай бұрын
Yes, bend it back to flat position. Yes, it makes a difference.

After I removed the burrs and replaced as shown, the grinder now grinds very coarse, even at setting 0 it looks like 50

It would be cool if there were rotating brushes built into the grinder to clean the plasma generator probes. Wait. They would get dirty and make things even worse. I guess user maintenance is the only choice after all.

Always remember to clean your discharge chute. Gets very messy if you don’t

In case anyone looses the allen key that comes with the grinder and is having trouble finding a replacement 1mm allen key. Its 2mm not 1mm.

Whats the frequency of cleaning the chute ?
@miicoffee5 ай бұрын
It depends on how often you grind. Usually once a week is enough.

I can’t get the chute off for the life of me. I unscrewed everything
@jake78087 ай бұрын
Same here it is stuck. It’s like there’s a clip inside holding. All screws removed and it won’t come out
@aae427 ай бұрын
same! the video conveniently cuts during this step with a "just use a little bit of force..." explanation, but all that stuff is plastic... and you can see the outer chute binding on the inner chute... this might be the achilles heel of the DF54
@lindas.17514 ай бұрын
Nor can I. Has anyone solved this puzzle of the DF54? I got the two top fasteners entirely out, got the small screw under the outside of the chute out. I suspect there is a total fines pile between top of chute and exit point from grind chamber.
@aae424 ай бұрын
@@lindas.1751 i was able to get it off, you need to take it off in the same plane as the chute... and yes, it will bind along the edges, you basically just have to pull... cleaning it helps w/ the mess for a little bit, but before too long it clogs again... but you can also unclog it w/ like a pipecleaner without disassembly
@ericmarentetteАй бұрын
I have this problem and I didn't realize when i bought this grinder that I'd have to disassemble it to keep it working. This is pathetic and I regret buying the DF54.

Every grinder from the cheapest hand grinder to a 1000 dollar grinder needs maintenance to keep functioning properly.
@winexprt8 ай бұрын
Maybe disconnect the grinder from power before working on it?
