Awww….my heart is breaking for poor PawPaw and GiGi! I can’t even imagine what is going through their minds right now! They aren’t as young as they were in 1994 or 2017 during Harvey. They are so blessed that they have so many young family members to help with the clean up! You have such a great positive attitude Tina!! I'm glad you were able to come in "fresh" and help make some decisions to start with organization and a plan. If I was your mom or dad, even having been through it before, I'd just be stunned into inaction. Good idea to let your mom do the pressure washing because it IS very satisfying, and you can see progress. The progress you've made in a day is amazing.

I'm So Thankful that Paw Paw and Gigi have such Great Kids, Grandchildren that love them so much and there isn't a Lazy Bone in None of You. When my Dad had his second leg removed due to diabetes, he told his Dr. that he was Blessed. He had Children that loved him. There were 6 of us Kids. Thank God for his Blessing for each of you! I was flooded once when we had 3 days of non stop rain! I lived in a first floor apartment and the rain collected in a stairwell to an electrical room and then came in under the wall in the bedroom overnight! I had water going down the hallway and into the kitchen and living room. It took 3 months to get everything cleaned up, drywall replaced and they brought in fans and dried the carpet instead of replacing it! When I moved out I found out they never told the people moving in next door that the apartments had flooded! Hope you all are doing ok, poor Gigi and Pawpaw, they are so lucky that they didn’t have more damage. Sending prayers for all of you🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Norma here. Poor Gigi is at her wit’s end. She’s so upset. Thank the Good Lord that she and your dad have raised such wonderful children. I think that without You and Kim taking charge and keeping her spirits up, she would just fall apart. I can’t blame her. She’s been through this so many times. I am so amazed at the amount of people who show up and are more than willing to help wherever needed. You and your boys, Buddy, Steph, Kim and Jami bringing much needed nourishment. As Mr Rogers would say, In times of tragedy, look for the helpers. With all the helpers you have, Morrow Hill will be better than ever.

I know this might be toomuch for your parents but have they considered removing that house and getting a prefab home that is higher off the ground. It would be nice for Gigu and Pawpaw to have more of a worry free home, so in a flood, their home stays intact. 3 times is a lot to go through this. Frankly, I think you and Rob got it right by leaving a flood zone. You live in such a nice home, and your property is beautiful.
