One cleaning company I recommend to everyone is e cloth - think all of their cloths are non toxic and just need to be damp to do their job! I use their glass / mirror kit on my bathroom shower door and all my mirrors (going on 2 years now) and it works wonders!

Hi Kay, I am a self employed house cleaner and I use all non toxic cleaning products including my own homemade solutions. I mainly use the Method range for allsorts of cleaning and it's great that you still get some lovely natural aromas from each product. I too use half vinegar and half water spray for windows and for shower screens that has lots of soap scum on it I use a half water and half fairy washing up liquid which is great for getting rid of soap scum. I use bicarbonate of soda for so many things, a good tip is to use it on a bath mixed with a little water. Loved your video today and your cats are so adorable❤️

Sorry to let you know that Method was bought out and they're not non toxic in the slightest ♡ I can recommend other brands should you wish to make the switch

I buy isopropyl alcohol in 5 liter containers, and then use a spray bottle to make my own cleaner in, which is 50% water and 50% isopropyl alcohol. I also add essential oils for the scent, I really like peppermint, eucalyptus, lime, or tea tree. I use this mixture to clean my surfaces and windows / glass. For bath, sink etc I use a mixture of 50% water and 50% dishwashing liquid, it is the best bathroom cleaner ever. I use Dettol 30 Seconds for mould, and the cheapest toilet cleaner for toilets.

Yes, please make more videos like this one! I also live in an old home that has some issues with damp, no dishwasher, 2 cats that floof everywhere and follow me to demand attention anytime I try to do anything. 😂 It's super motivating to watch someone in a similar situation get their cleaning done. I'm also making the switch from store bought products to making my own homemade natural products. Marissa at the Clean My Space youtube channel has lots of recipes for homemade cleaners of all kinds.

I really like the voiceover style. We have a ragdoll and he loves to join in with cleaning too. He's totally unafraid of the hoover and only moves out of the way when the upholstery tool is more or less on top of him.

I just loved this style of video...especially the relaxing music and voiceover! For bathrooms and toilets I just use a mix of vinegar, dishwashing liquid and water in a bottle. I sprinkle baking soda in the toilet and then my mixture and it works great. It also works well to get rid of hard water stains

Again another lovely and beautiful video. Thanks Kay! I'm wondering if a dehumidifier would help you with the humidity build up indoors and thus stop the spread/growth of mold. I've been using a big dehumidifier in our apartments and Airstream for years and running it makes such a difference to the way I feel indoors. If I were in your shoes I would place a dehumidifier in your bedroom to get rid of the condensation of the windows and to keep the closet dry. Just a thought.

Thank you Kay, you inspired me enough to pause the video, clean the mold in my own bathroom (which I have been putting off for a week now), and get back to watch the rest of the video as a reward 😜 I like to use just straight up vinegar for the mold, I find that works the best. For my toilet often use a combination of dish soap and baking soda. That works great for me 😀

I’m playing ‘catch up’ with your videos this morning. Be thankful for your smaller home and its ease of housekeeping. I miss having an apartment that could be cleaned completely on a Saturday morning. Bigger is definitely not better, and I’ve decided that vacumning our house just makes it grow, because it certainly does feel larger every time I run the vac! My cats supervise me when I clean also, and then shed a few clumps of fur when I’m through just to remind me who is actually in charge of this house. Try KILZ paint for the sills to help control the mildew & mold. We use it here in the States in bathrooms.
@donnaw13062 жыл бұрын
Not sure if you have this available or not, but in the US we have something called Damprid. It comes in different sizes and containers, but you set the container out wherever you have moisture issues and it helps to absorb it. You have to throw it out every so often and replace it. I also read something that says you can put a bowl out with baking soda and it will absorb the moisture as well. You just change it out as it hardens. I have not tried this method, but it might be worth looking into. You might be able to put it in a container that you can cover and punch small holes in the lid or something like that if your cats would get into it. Have a great day! You should check out Scandish Home channel. She makes all of her cleaning products and laundry soap. That might help you when you decide to venture into that.

Awww love that ...And yes I do enjoy cleaning.... It very therapeutic.i foul watch all day ....your cats are beautiful....full of character.. I Leo used method cleaning products...I definitely use water with vinegar for my windows....my mum said clean your windows if possible in the evening. The windows act like. Mirror and no sunlight.. making streaks..when we little she used windoline....and we used to draw funny faces on it.. You can buy the small dehumidifiers. Ideal for you bedroom. I have a small one in my porch..about £27 it used to be full of black mold...and now virtually nothing..the water collection is good for your plants or even in your iron...so it's a win, win. And better with the mood situation..better for your health. Can't wait to see you next time.... enjoy your week..🙂👍🐱🐱

Hot soapy water with washing up liquid is so underrated, cleans most of my house just fine 😊 white vinegar I love for mirrors and windows, too. Hi Kay, I'm new here and I wanted to say hi🤗We have two cats also and they follow me around wherever I go😂I use Dropps for the laundry, not sure if it's available where you are but it's pods that dissolve in the wash and come in a recyclable cardboard box. Oh and as an idea: I use a duster before washing any dusty surfaces. I feel like the wet microfiber cloth always smears it around more than getting it off😂Anyway, really enjoyed your video and I hope you have a great day! Cheers from Arizona 🌵

I do like these videos. They inspire me and I like seeing what others are using. I started my detox journey. I made an all purpose spray. Vinegar, water, and dish soap. I was hoping the scent, orange scent, would lessen the vinegar a little. But not really. But I do like how it works . I did mistakenly buy a concentrated cleaner that I found I cannot use on my floors. Always read the labels. I do use microfiber clothes to clean. I have a lot of them. I also use them on my swiffer instead of buying the refills. It gets up the dust and hair well. Looking forward to vlogmas, but don't do more than you have energy for. 😊

The proper way to use it is to go back and forth really fast and that little rubber piece on there will push the hair into the holder on the top so you can just empty it. It’s a false economy and only adds to the environmental issue. So this is an excellent recommendation thank you.
