Thank you so much for this. I tried flashing my tricopter to betaflight, but none of the pids were matching up to what I already had set. It flew ok, but not the same as I was used to and liked. Thankfully you posted this video and I had a CLI dump of my cleanflight config.

It seems like you made this video just for me.. Last night I discovered the change to Cleanflight as I was building a new 115mm micro and was very upset that they turned it into Betaflight and took away my ability to adjust rates in Angle mode (still my favorite as a relatively new flyer).. I enjoy angle mode with pitch-roll rates turned all the way up, but I keep Yaw fairly low (35 or so) ... really fun with the safety of stability turned on...- Thanks so much !!! I followed your instruction and it worked great !!

Lovey video, as always, which explains that popup dialog pestering me. Thank you for that and all your videos. Good job! BTW, I found that if you edit the Cleanflight Icon in the Images directory before you add the configurator, you can differentiate between the old and new builds on the apps page. I used a photo editor to surprint 1.2.4 onto the PNG file, re-saved it, and now 2.0 and 1.24 very clearly stand out. Seems to work for me.

Hi Pain. my qx95 will not connect at all. I have a mac so ImpluseRC driver download is no good for me. it says this at the top of the screen "No configuration received within 10 seconds, communication failed". My other drones work fine with betaflight. The port is labeled Bluetooth-Incoming-Port. Any suggestions?

Your videos are such a great help! Thank you so much. I have been having issues with my SP F3 EVO refusing to update to 2.0 clean flight. Tried so many different drivers etc but it refuses to to connect. However downgrading the software means at least the board is usable once again. Life saver :D

I can't even access the GUI for this thing! Does everybody assume this software is easily installable??? The Chrome extension does not have a Launch button. I see no way to launch this Cleanflight Configurator app. After installing version 2.4.0 from the Google Play store, the only thing it shows is Welcome, Documentation & Support, and Firmware Flasher. I just pinned the program to the taskbar, so hopefully at least that much will be accessible. How do you get to the configuration part???

The power usually comes via the USB cable from the USB port. if other things are powered from that same port then I'd suspect the cable or the FC.. Best of luck!

just be aware in Betaflight ( the parent of CF2) at least support for Naze32 is soon to be dropped.

Yep, this allows you to continue to change the setting on models running pre v2.0 versions of Cleanflight. We are watching the CF project with interest..

Unfortunately I couldn't wait and now I'm mad at myself :( I finished my build now and I must say there are quite a few challenges, the fact that the motor wires are at the bottom of the board is one of the biggest, and boy is it hard to solder those ground wires!!! Hi Leo, When I installed cleanflight some time ago, it set up a shortcut on my desktop in windows 10. I followed your tip then went to the Chrome apps link on the Windows menu, or type chrome://app in chrome. I found the old version, right click and created a shortcut on the desk top, it was named cleanflight 1, which I renamed to cleanflight 1.124.

Wish I seen this before tying to upgrade my naze32. I just keep getting bootloder errors no matter what I do. On the old and new version of clranflight. Even a spare board is having the same issue. Any clue what the deal is. Currently can't fly.

The first thing I did when I tried to configure my first Naze32 rev6 was brick it. Had exactly the same problem. Try this: -Open the old version of Cleanflight -Choose the board and firmware version you want to use -Enable "No reboot sequence" and "Auto-connect" -Scroll to the bottom of Cleanflight and load the firmware local or online -Jump the boot pins on the Naze board with a single wire and connect the USB cable -It should auto-boot and flash the firmware Happy skies!

Yea at first it connected but the esc kept spinning the motors and was saying they where brushed. Craziness. Then I bricked it tying to go backwards. Let me know if your here anything going forward. Thanks again.

Hi, was all going well till my receiver broke, refitted a new one but the Cleanflght old versions now wont load up, as if they`ve been terminated. so i cannot now get the correct port settings to configure. So im dreading working out how to do this CLi flash thing, ive already destroyed one FEMTO F3 FC and i dont want to go near this issue, so pretty much my Babyhawk is living room ornament now ! any help be great, ta

I have the SP racing EVO V2.0 on my mini quad.....I upgraded now its very unstable and will flip on punch outs. I tried to downgrade to the old firmware but it fails each time. Do I need to erase first??

not the file. you have to pick up the FOLDER. the inner folder that contains all the files, manifest json included

Oh Lee, If only you had produced this video 24hrs earlier...I had the exact same problem, and could not find a solution to this. I simply wanted to adjust my PIDs, and ended up migrating to Betaflight. This ended in disaster for me, because the default PID settings must have been for a sky rocket, and ended with my X8 Hotrod being planted into a concrete wall in less than a second. Shame on Cleanflight for not producing any information on this, like you have here in this video. Rather than try kill us old fellas off, a simple tag "press here for more info" would have been much simpler. Thanks for thls video Lee... From a dead Syma X8 Hotrod.

I know the RC technology moves so fast these days, and I dont think I can keep up now. I have gone from having 3 camera birds so very close to perfection for me, to having one doing a death roll into a wall, a 450 with BF installed and "use these default PIDs to get you flying" NOT and will not take off without going into some manic war dance, and a 330 that flies but I dare not reconnect to CF in case it never flies again. All this in the space of an Easter weekend. Woe is me......

I get all the way to load pack extensions and it's not in my browse folder. It's only showing some of the things I have in the folder. And I know I downloaded the v1.2.4 why does this crap have to be so difficult? eeerrr has any one have this issue or is it just me? I bet it's just me.

I know i followed your every step. But for some reason when i click load pack settings and open the folders its not in there. Its weird cuz the folder will only show a couple things in my folders. my computer isnt allowing all the items in my folder to be shown.If it would come up where i downloaded it in downloads i would see it click on it and bam. But it's not there. But when i open my folders on my task bar its there but not the ones the pack extentions open up. Your instructions were very easy its just my computer isnt showing all of my downloads. im going nuts trying to figure it out. i have a nice head ache now. thnak you 4 ur help sir!!!

Arghh - I've managed to use a not hot enough soldering iron and removed the bottom pad - can someone check if there's another pad that I can short it to - cheers :) the top pad is ok. The GUI and code is now based on the latest betaflight version and it is significantly different from the previous versions.. not ideal but I've spoken to the developers and the error message is being updated to make this a little clearer.
