51 years is a long time ago. This car was a muscle classic in it's time. I really like the original color, the green is so cool. I'm sorry but I did laugh that you accidentally dropped the pressure washer wand. We have ALL broken tools at times. That interior was a true dust bowl. Smart to wear the mask. Glad to know this beauty can be running again soon with a couple of tweaks. I do like how the vinyl seats matched the exterior so well. I agree it was bleach on those carpets, I recognize that weird brown color from spilling bleach on a carpet once. The seats that wouldn't come out is unfortunate, but you still did a great job. The bucket pour was espresso this time. Loving your work with the steamer, great results. This was great to watch and you really restored a classic, so summer will be more fun for the owner. Have a great weekend Mitch. Now off to watch the yard geek video at least once more. 💜💜💜#Mike4Mayor.

I always love seeing these old muscle cars in their original glory. That green was totally styling in the ‘70’s. Personally I love it, but then again I grew up in that era. The matching bench-style seats bring back memories. What a gem and what a transformation, Mitch!! You did a fabulous job bringing this 1973 time-capsule back to life. (Kudos for the nice retro music too).❤️

I love this shade of green. Car manufacturers need to get back to these 70s colors and do more color in the interiors than just grey, tan, or black. Some are doing red again but would be cool to see some greens or blues again.

I inherited my grandfather's 1973 Plymouth Duster the same color exterior (except for the black on the hood) as this one. The interior was all green with black carpet. He bought it brand new in 1973. Mine had the 225 slant six. When I sold it in about 1999-2000 or so, it was in very good unrestored condition. I lived in Arizona at the time and the car had always been in Arizona. It still had the original wheels and wheel covers. I had to sell it because I needed the money and knew I would never get around to restoring it.

Sounds like it'd be worth keeping a small checklist for people doing old car restorations. "can i break this bolt off if i need to get the seats out" being one of the questions... I feel like if he's restoring it, he'd be taking it out anyway, so you breaking it out wouldn't be a big deal. Also keeping some penetrating fluid for the rusty bolts could help. give them a spray before washing to let them soak in.

My very first car was a 1973 Duster, very similar to the one in the video. Mine was also green -- but a dark, forest green, with a tiny bit of sparkle (and white pinstripes). The interior was whitish-beige vinyl. I bought it for $300 in 1990, and drove it up and down the west coast, and then across the country to New York City. I drove it daily in the city for a few years. It would have kept going if it weren't for the brakes, which were utterly shot. Young and broke, I couldn't afford to replace them. I shed a tear when they hauled her away :) Thanks for the trip down memory lane, and thanks for your channel. It's been on my "must watch" rotation for a while now.

Like the Duster but Chrysler sure overused that color. It seems like half of their cars late 60s early 70s were green. 🤮

Everybody overused that color back in the day!! 🤣 My older sister had a '77 Buick Skylark--green, my youngest aunt had a '73 Chevy Impala (it was sort of a bluish green, but still green!) and my 2nd oldest aunt who bought a new car every couple of years, had a green '74 Cadillac Coupe DeVille. One of the teachers at my high school had a green pacer. My oldest aunt and youngest uncle had 'Avocado' green kitchens. Green was the official color of the '70s. 🤣

It will need a paint job to get it to sell. Love the job you did.

Thank you for sharing this with us! I have not seen one of these in many years. I used to drive a 1968 Plymouth Fury III, in 1975. It was an ugly color too. I called it "Sea Weed" green. It also was green like this Duster..... Now I have to YT all about this car with more pictures! It's a Beauty Muscle Car!

Not much you could do for that interior. It looks like someone used spray dye to change some stuff from green to black. The seats however are amazing. May not be real leather, but in a couple years vinyl would become known as , “rich Corinthian leather” in the cordoba as promoted by Ricardo Montalbán KAAAAANNNNNN!!!

yeah, no way is that car getting restored. The restoration, if done properly is gonna cost more than 3x what that car is worth

The Plymouth Duster was at one-time the vehicle that everyone wanted as their first vehicle in the early 1980's. Honestly, the green doesn't look too bad, but I've always thought that the light brown Duster was a good looking color! At least this vehicle isn't rat infested!

I like these Mopar greens. I have lighter green 69 Plymouth myself. Looks like someone had painted dash and door cards black with not so good paint, should have been all green from factory :)

I like the color. My cousin has a 1972 Lime Green Chrysler Superbee. With the tall wing on the back. It also has black leather interior. With a 454 cubic inch 2 barrel Holly carburetor. I can’t tell you what brand of tires on it. But they are white letter though.

No super bee in ‘72-Chrysler did not produced the super bee…Dodge did from ‘68-‘71. Also 454 is a GM engine and super bee came with a 383 as standard engine.😊
