Thank you for the video sir ! I would suggest to check so there would be no gap among the tubes and the air intake,sometimes the clamps become loose, the connection isn't perfect and non-filtered air travels to the sensor.

Yeah, we checked it all. Did 3 cleanings since the video. Eventually we ended up getting a new MAF from amazon for like $30-40. Car has no issues with the aftermarket part. Cleaning is definitely the first step to problem solving. Especially on a 16 year old car ;) Thanks for watching.

Thank you for video you mentioned map sensor also in video description but didn't clean it or you mean maf and map sensor's are the same

For this purpose, it’s all the same. MAP, IAT, MAF. The cleaning procedure is the same. If it’s left in the vehicle, make sure the power or sensor is disconnected and not hot. Do not have the vehicle running while spraying this on the sensor. It may burn out.

First and utmost important ditch that ridiculous K&N into where it belong. The trash can. Put an OEM filter and tap yourself in the back for having learned a lesson before spoiling the engine more than it should. ;-) Cheers PS: The thumbs up is only and solely for the cleaning. ;-)

These filters are about 120k miles old. Never had an issue. If my son wants to toss them it’s up to him. It’s his car after all. On my Chrysler, I’ve actually had good luck so far. Just holding out long enough to get my Mopar cold Air intake. On the other hand, I somehow now crave a beer. ;) Cheers

If you don't overspray with oil it works fine! Just saying from experience!

I have use K&N for years,needed too much maintenance to work properly and every time i had to clean them i spent precious time and of course i couldn't use my car.

I feel yah. As I’m getting older, I’m getting lazier. Don’t want to deal with it. My new Mopar CAI on the other car is now also a washabe filter but doesn’t need to be oiled. Let’s see how long that one lasts.

Ive had a k&n filter on y Toyota hilux sr5 5vzfe engine and intake was always clean. If you don't overspray with oil it works fine and cheaper in the long run. Nice vid btw can you tell me pinouts for a 4 wire map sensor? Any reply appreciated thanks from Australia 😊

Greetings to Australia. I’ve had K&N in all my cars I had in the USA. I never had an issue. There are always people that do something wrong or hear a rumor and then complain without ever trying. I do not have the info on the map sensor unfortunately.

ugh my car has 16 spark plugs too and my god that shit can be a bit costly to have to replace the coil packs
@Turbo_Snail2 жыл бұрын
The rear spark plug on the passenger side made me grow grey hair. At 150k miles we’re still on the original coils. I think just the wires were going to be $300. The whole set over $1000 and that if we do it ourself.

Yeah, you could, but then I wouldn’t have anything to post on my channel. It did work just fine.
