Cleaning a MAC-10 | Review

I took my time on this one. it was very rusty, and in the end it still had some rust. the internals looked good and I left excess lube on it. the MAC-10 functions well so although I don't like the rust, it will need a professional dip in time.

After safety checking it, I'd be checking out the barrel for any sign of pitting. The surface rust is unfortunate but hasn't progressed to the point of being damaging. It's plain stamped steel. There's no bluing or treatment of the steel which means if it's going to be maintained, it's going to need regular care.

It amazes me that you can disassemble/assemble any type of gun that you come in contact with.
