Something I wonder with every single video - why don't people take out the trash before they take their car in to get detailed? It's something that I've always done because 1. It makes the job faster/easier for them, but also 2. I don't want them to see it LOL Trash is somehow more...personal? Like dirt is one thing, but I don't want them to know where and how much I eat fast food or seeing all my receipts or anything like that. I don't know, maybe I'm just weird lol. Like the car being grimy is one thing because that's not really an easy or quick fix, but cleaning out the trash takes a trash bag and like 5 minutes of your time maximum to go through and toss it all in. Idk maybe I'm the odd one out here haha. Anyone else do this?

This video 1,000% makes me feel better knowing my dogs hair in mixture with this fabric is just a pain in the ass to deal with. Does it make my life easier, no, but do I feel better knowing it’s not me doing something wrong, yes.

@@manjuchandrababu8641 Honestly, some people don't even think about it. It's like how people will buy a mattress, but not a foam layer of padding and an encasement. Foam layers lessen the wear on the mattress over the years, and encasements protect the mattress from dust, dander, fleas, ticks, bedbugs, etc. But people don't consider the additional protections in order to save money in the long run. My son and daughter in law had a big shedder that rode in the car on a regular basis. Yeah, it could get pretty hairy, literally and figuratively, in her car sometimes. But, she is a smart lady, because she kept the seats covered when the dog would be in the car. So, seat cleaning was as easy as taking out the seat coverings, and shaking them free of dog hair, and then the carpets were vacuumed weekly.

@@JimTom. Yeah but judging by the condition of the vehicle we clearly see this thing has been driven to the ground and went to all sorts of places working around the farm when it's just a small crossover not even intended to do the things that work and trucks and SUV's do, also with this many miles on it the car is still reliable and well be for a long time because for Toyota and Lexus they can go on and on and on without problems their are 20 year old cars out their that don't even have half the mileage this 6 year old vehicle does

Quick question: I saw on the final take of the instrument panel that the airbag light is on. Was this because of the seat removal? have you ever triggered a check engine light or airbag light because of something you did? If so, how do you deal with these types of issues? Thanks! love the channel!

You want to disconnect the negative terminal on the battery before pulling the seats out. In his defense, the car does have 330,000KM on it so there could've been underlying prior issues.
@mow26742 жыл бұрын
no, it is not messed up! when seats get soaked, ie from extracting, in some vehicles water can mess with the occupant sensor in the seat and throw the airbag light on. when the seat fully dries up, the airbag light will turn off. I had the similar problem in my subaru forester with cloth seats. (the vehicle could have underlying issues of course, but for 330,000KM the vehicle looks in excellent shape- every time i’ve extracted my subaru when I owned it, it threw the airbag light until the seat cushions dried).
@mow26742 жыл бұрын
@@yay842 please read my previous comment, he did not mess it up. in certain vehicles with cloth seating water will screw with the occupant sensor and throw the airbag light. it will turn off when the seat cushion dries.

I love your videos and the work you do it's amazing. However, I still wonder how in the actual hell do people manage to get their cars this dirty. Like the little car I use for work I sometimes eat in it, pack it full of gear, greasy mechanical parts, and hardware, I spill liquids, leave the occasional face mask, receipts, etc., and when I take it for a cleaning I sometimes think I have the filthiest car but damn, this people really are on another level, it's like they are blind or something and don't see the piles of trash and nasty stuff.

Yeah, we only clean our van 2-3 times a year and living the country life, 7 kids, it doesn't get too bad but definitely could if we never cleaned it for a year or two. We don't have a dog or straw bales though, and we put tarps down if we do.

Not specific to this video or owner, but I don't think I will ever understand how or why people allow the interiors of their vehicles to get so trashed. A dirty exterior is understandable, but the mountains of garbage / food / dog hair just screams a lack of pride of ownership. I can't believe people aren't embarrassed handing over their vehicles full of this stuff to a third-party without at least removing their personal effects and trash first.
