Awesome Video. Never knew you could use olive oil to clean coins. I like drinking olive oil.

Definite improvement. Thank you for the demo. It is good to actually see how well olive oil works.

Wow I didn't know you can clean coins with olive oil, we have plenty of that here in Italy. Good informational video!

It helps if you take them out and wash them with dish washer liquid every couple of weeks,remove stuff little by little even toothpick off anything loose

Man what patience and dedication for a video!!! Good job!! I didn't know olive oil could do that.... Lots of history there my friend :-)

Yes there is a lot of history there. Looks like these were underground for about 2,000 years! Thanks!

Yo metí una moneda como esa en aceite de oliva por varios meses y cuando la saqué y limpié con un paño suave quedó como nueva 😊

They look like many that i have dug up over the decades.

Cool. They definitely spent a lot of time underground. The surfaces seem pretty pitted, so I think this is about as good as it gets for these coins. Thanks!

I’ve seen people do this before with mixed results. Like you said Seems that these may have had a bit to much corrosion to come out great although I do see a improvement. They always say not to clean coins but with ancients often they come so dirty that you have no choice
@Ontario1003 жыл бұрын
Yes, I think ancients are the exception. Thanks!

I won’t be as patient as you, my good sir. I would not be able to wait it out for year. With that long a wait, I would hope for a very substantial and evident change on the coins. New (private) sub #694.

Thank you for watching and your comments. I appreciate the sub too!! Thanks!

Olive oil pits your coins, Don't use it, Use distilled water instead.

just get some Preserve It Wax and be done with it and maybe a cleaning pencil
@jimbobsslimpickins98013 жыл бұрын
That seems to work okay, I suppose anything else other than olive oil will ruin the coins. Thanks for sharing 👍🏻
@Ontario1003 жыл бұрын
Some people use distilled water for long periods as well. That would probably take longer though. Thanks for watching!

Yikes......I tried before, but never like the result and other coin experts say NO. Thanks for you experiment
