People have been trying to do this even on yelp. I've gotten this exact same message 3 times! They say they're out of town and a real estate agent would send the key and they want to pay upfront. One person even sent the check and I was like ain't no way I'm depositing that on my business bank account and the lady got super upset. I sent that right back to them

I had something like this happen to me recently there was this commercial client who reached out to me claiming to be with the company Trullia & sent me over a contract to sign and the job sounded legit but they wanted me to send them over 2k to start the job for their insurance program or whatever. Never did hung up.

I have my degree in business admin so i have great knowledge. But this happened twice to me but both times i declined the offers . I been trying my best to get my business up and going but I wanted to ask how can you pick them out.

You gotta make things happen on purpose. Have clients go through your process like a normal customer. Thats the easiest filter. Decide who you serve and who you dont so your not just considering every single thing.

I never accept checks. Its just too slow of a process to scale for me. And we have a proprietary system which we will be rolling out to the cleaning boss software in the future.
