Is there an easier way to clean the inside of that blue pipe? Hmmmm....
@ZeoCyberG4 жыл бұрын
You can do some preventive maintenance by just having a spray bottle of half and half water and vinegar on hand to spritz after each use and maybe occasionally pour some down the urine track to flush it... Should make cleaning it a lot easier...

You can also remove the 2 yellow plastic screws were the blue part is and you will see there is quite a bit to clean^^. Also that blue round thing at the bottom of your toilet, I remove it every month to clean underneath, urine.. dead flies that get stuck in there... :) Just thought I would mention but you might already know that!

I have a question regarding using the toilet paper. I assume you need to keep the seating down by one hand in order to throw the paper down the whole, or?
@TinyDreamer2 жыл бұрын
Yes correct! When you're sitting on the toilet, the pressure of the seat down is what opens the back. So if you're still sitting down, you'd want to lean to the side, pressure still on the seat, to throw in the toilet paper. If you choose to stand up and then throw it in there, pressure on the seat would have to be pressed down for the back to open up again.

Have you tried using gloves while cleaning. Can you use a longer funnel and wider, remove that plastic thing and extend it all the way down would that help. Thank you😃
@TinyDreamer4 жыл бұрын
No I'm not worried about wearing gloves while cleaning. If others lived in the house I would but I wash my hands right after anyway. It's only urine. People drink their urine in cases of emergency I'm okay with a little on my hands 😊💙 I can use a longer funnel, I just have to find one. If you know of where I can get one please let me know. Silicone would be best, no? I just found these at the store in the kitchen section but I'm sure a car section might have the longer funnel? Hmmm...it seems really easy to store this little one inside the toilet also! Thanks for your ideas!!

@TinyDreamer2 жыл бұрын
I would honestly say this one would be the easiest... at least between this one and natures head when it comes to cleaning it. The natures head you basically have to carry outside and dump the contents in a bag, a garden, etc..clean the whole thing out, reassemble and carry back into the house. I kind of feel like cleaning this one is similar to a regular toilet where you just wipe it down. 2 different ways of cleaning but personally I prefer this way because I can't lift a big ol toilet of waste. Lol. I'm sure other compost toilet options have their own pros and cons, too.

@@TinyDreamer Before I have ITH build my home, could you tell me why you are not talking to them?
@TinyDreamer4 жыл бұрын
Ith made over 85 mistakes on my build. 2 years after having the house I'm still finding mistakes. Warped doors, cracks, holes, nails sticking out, uneven trim, missing screws, broken window latches, loose seals, dust sealed onto to surfaces because the dust was never wiped away.i have the whole list of you are interested but I wont share it here. You can find me on social media and message me and I can send the list. Although I really do not recommend I th to anyone anymore I realize that people still enjoy their esthetically pleasing houses and their affordable priced houses. One of the reasons why I will not recommend them as because my exact model of my house at $58,300, 2 years later, has gone up to $68,000. That's insane for my house. Everyone already thinks I paid too much for my house from them. They claim they are the most affordable tiny house builder but I highly disagree. Mini mansions tiny home builders has them beat. Core housing solutions has them beat. If I get another tiny house to rent out it will probably be from mini mansions. The amount of stuff "included" in their builds is amazing. You get a tv, refrigerator, daybed with memory foam mattress, bookcase, electric cooktop burner, microwave, mini split, toilet, shower curtain and liner, and more for the same price as ITH house without all that stuff! I had to buy all that extra at ITH. I'm jennifer fuist if you want to find me on fb and I'll send the list. I think I've had about 10 different people that want houses from incredible tiny homes message me for that list so they know what to watch out for because they were getting their house built by them too. Be well and good luck to you if you choose them.

Can I use Clorox?
@TinyDreamer3 жыл бұрын
I'm honestly not sure. You can use it to clean with but as far as putting it down the urine spout to clean that, Idk. I guess it would depend ion where the urine is running...if it were running off into the grass I'd think probably not because clorox is toxic and could kill things in the ground. If it's running into a tank and gets dumped into a sewer system or septic tank them probably? Seeing that all that water gets filtered and used again in a bigger process through the system. I honestly don't know though..I stick to water and white vinegar. That is what was suggested to me.
