Definitely deal with seasonal depression and the holidays feel more sad than happy for me. Even when there's no need to be sad and I want to feel just as excited like everyone. Like genuine excited not trynna fake it. Whats pulling me through this time is moving into a new house and having to stay busy and excited about the move. It's so interesting how different people are. I don't mean that in a bad way, before anyone attacks me. I personally love gloomy, cold weather. It makes me feel calm, despite the combination of really bad and really good memories with the holidays, which makes it very confusing. I hate summer because of the bugs, extreme heat and a million hours of sunshine. She is kind of the opposite. It's just interesting how different experiences and points of view affect people.

I totally relate to this. I have general depression but I tend to get worse during fall even though I love fall weather and things like that. The holidays give me a distraction to get out of that and bring me back up. Then I go back down in the Spring. Basically during the “transition” seasons I go really really low and during summer and winter I’m more upbeat.

Growing up all my life, Christmas and the holidays were always this happy time of year that I looked forward to. This year started to become different though as the days started getting shorter and I started experiencing a lot of these symptoms. I talked to my psychologist about this and was diagnosed. This video really helped me feel like something wasn't completely wrong with me and that there are people that experience this every year. Thank you Niki

I get this so much. The comparison tho. And i always feel unmotivated when it stops snowing and the snow starts to melt, it reminds me of quarentine and crying all the time. I lovveeee watching Xmas movies but they also make me cry a lot because i moved away in December last year and i cry watching them because i would watch them with my dad and his amazing fiance and all my family but now they’re all 3500 miles away so it is amazing to watch them and decorate my room but its still really sad. If something, weather, sky, anything is the same as it was during quarantine then i wont wanna go outside. Period. Even to walk my dogs. This video really helped and i really dont wanna self diagnose but I’m still taking medication for hormones and stuff. I’m tryin. Ily niki. Also this is way too long holy crap.

I am vitamin D deficient because I moved from California to Oregon and stay inside all the time, so I am not getting nearly as much sun anymore. So I take supplements. I am going to try light therapy too though to see if it helps with my depression.

Honestly i suffer from depression in general.😔 i do compare myself. Especially to u and gabi. I love yall to death but sometimes i wish i had yalls lifestyles. Gabi and i share the same interest but u both seem to live great lives. The begining of this yr my fiancee and i ended up homeless. Were still with a friend bc we cant save money to find a place. Now hes lost hrs again bc the state of MN has now went under another lock down. And i lost my job last week. Not just that but our car is not gonna make it thru winter😭 so yeah its been hard on me. I keep praying for stuff to get better but it isn't. Idk what to do any more. My depression has been so bad that lately I've been thinking there is no point anymore. Sorry to throw all this out here. I just needed to get it off my chest😔

I don’t wanna self diagnose. But Niki’s description about her seasonal depression, I really really fucking relate to. But one thing that keeps me going is her videos, they automatically make me smile every time I watch ‘em. I remember being in the hospital after my scoliosis surgery watching Niki, and smiling even though I was on so many fucking drugs. My mom has a video of me yelling ‘I love Niki’ over and over again, loll. It was while I was dowsed up, so I didn’t remember it. Hahah. Anyways, I love you Niki.
