I hope you can get that kitchen cabinet, it's so cute! Christine is a dab hand at packing crockery. 👌

Yep, more info coming up soon about the kitchen cabinet Dee 😊 Thanks, yeah - she is a machine! 😀

Lovely to see you both. I like that little rocking chair. I am always drawn to kitchen ware, especially the art deco styles of the 30's and 40's. Thanks for taking us along.

What a great team you are, you're making great progress already there, and some nice finds too ! It'll be great if you can salvage the kitchen units, if it's going to be demolished, love that bread-box drawer.

Thanks Andy! Some news on the 'bread-box' cupboard in the next episode! 👍😊

Some nice pieces of crockery and glassware. We have an orange and cream bread bin like that at 13.40. 👍

It was my prefence for a while to take the garbage out first on cleanups so I could take them straight away to the tip and then get back quickly for the quality items. This allowed me to leave the good items on my truck and take time to sort them out and sell them since I don't have a lot of storage space. One time we headed back for the second load of lovely furniture items and the owner had 'helpfully' smashed them so they would flat pack easily in my truck. We were gutted for days and so made a note for the future.

Oh Nooo! I have heard a similar story of a dealer desperately wanting to buy a very early colonial pine table from the shed of a farmer (it could have even been from the convict era and super valuable!). But he didn't want to seem too keen and talked it down as he wanted it cheaply, so he said "don't throw that on the bonfire as I may have a use for the legs". He came back later to find that the farmer had 'helpfully' broken the legs off and burnt the top!!😲😱😢

It always surprises me how you make all this stuff disappear.
@TheUltimateRecycler8 ай бұрын
Making stuff disappear is half the battle mate. Making cash appear is the other half! 😂

Agghhh less fabric ?? Says the man with enough stuff to last a lifetime and more 🥴 some cool stuff there and the more I see that little kitchen cupboard the more I love it

Hi Chris, from sunny Arizona. I'd take the mattresses to the farm and throw them on the bonfire like you did the ones you found on the farm. Taking them to the tip sounds real expensive to me. You are finding some great treasures.
@TheUltimateRecycler8 ай бұрын
Thanks Reba! Yep, processing the mattresses like that is always an option but I'm very short on time at the moment. It does depend on the age & type - I'll have a better look at them before I take them to the tip 👍😊

Shame we live so far away, my wife and I collect Sylvac and weve never seen those colours.
@TheUltimateRecycler8 ай бұрын
We do get a bit of Sylvac through the shop, but I'm not totally sure this stuff is. It's a similar glaze,

I'll buy the trio set you're handling @12:35 as they match a set inherited from my Aunt. If there are matching items in the other cabinet I'll buy those too please!
@TheUltimateRecycler8 ай бұрын
We'll put the trio aside for you Robert and Christine thinks there may be some other pieces of that set as well 👍😊
@TheUltimateRecycler8 ай бұрын
We've found a box lot of this set Robert - you'd better pop into the shop soon! 😊😊

Question Chris, on the mattress can't you strip the cloth off them then take as metal an throw the cloth in the trash bin.
@Robiscrapifixi8 ай бұрын
Very time consuming getting all the fabric detached versus burning the foam etc bit on the toxic side
@TheUltimateRecycler8 ай бұрын
Yep Wayne, I did process some mattresses on the farm awhile back using that method - but don't really have time at the moment. It is always an option with these type of jobs though 👍😊
@TheUltimateRecycler8 ай бұрын
It can be Rob - depends on the style and age of the mattresses.
@martincowie45208 ай бұрын
I'm guessing the power might get cut off without warning any day? Still I don't see this taking you very long to process 🙂
@TheUltimateRecycler8 ай бұрын
Settlement day on the property is still a couple of weeks off, but yeah - they may disconnect it soon. That doesn't really matter now as other than some large pieces of furniture, the house is empty 👍😊
