You did the right thing with the dubia! It really only grows vertically and doesn’t really use potted roots if you give it a moss pole, in my experience

Genuinely curious, as someone who lives in Canada and hates the seasons, I would have summer every day if I could. Why didn’t you like Florida for not having seasons?

So, the problem that I have with the lack of seasons in Florida is that it is an unbearable level of heat and humidity for most of the year, haha. If I had an Ohio summer all year long, I think I would welcome it! We have several days during the summer that are really pleasant--around 75 degrees Fahrenheit, sunny, a nice breeze, etc., but in Florida, most of the year was just super damp and in the 90s, which is fine for a time, but not all year. Does that make sense? Another thing I appreciate about the seasons is the variety and rhythm that comes with it. In Florida, you never really get to dress for fall and participate in the "fall vibe" things as organically (not to mention, you don't get the beautiful spring flowers or autumn leaves, either, and I never got to do any of the fun snow activities like sledding and snowball fights growing up).
