Dirty fills can wreck havok on your set up! I was first to fill on a portable self fill station at the West Point Combat Classic this past spring. The calcium in the lines completely destroyed ALL of the seals in my F1 G6r Ripper, then caused my emek to go down immediately, after I unknowingly aired it up with the same calcium filled bottle. I was able to revive the emek with full maintenance to play that day. I had to send in my ripper to Yosh at F1, he completely gutted it and replaced the internals. I was lucky that F1 has the Best customer service I've experienced in paintball.

I dont knownif it makes sense, but I ran an slp on my etha 2 for a couple weekends(have one for my airsoft guns) and noticed inconsistent streams and it sort of seemed like the slp reg couldn't keep up with the air required.

#PBQT why does paintball mainly focus on tournament style playing instead of rec? For instance majority of paintball guns are marketed for tournaments than rec play.

Some paintball markers run like garbage when new because all o-rings are stiff AF & things are catching after you shoot them few times the grease oil gets spread were it needs to be & o-rings are not so rigid FS 15 has hugh problem with this.. another thing is velocity & regulators actually have to be re-calibrated every so offen as it gets warn in -to> warn out over time

Think ppl just looking for make something more complex then it realy is. You got your tank with reg and its work fine? Why bother changing reg?! What you will acomplish? Shoot 17 more balls of that tank? How often clean reg? Works fine? So why? Just take your equipment and have fun.

I never cleaned my reg. It’s still a little unknown to me. What greases are silicon based??

So I’m having so much trouble about my new empire/pure energy tank. On the manual pamphlet it came with it says that there is a low pressure kit available but not included and tells you how to install it and all. There’s no part number mentioned for the low pressure kit on there, but on ANS they have a pure energy low pressure kit which looks like it will work. Have you ever seen this? The reg on my tank looks like the basic regs your mentioned. I bought it because it’s 8 bucks, so I’ll see if my preset hpa tank can really be adjusted down to 500 psi.

I dont care much for th)e SLP . while I did get good consistency over the crono 1 shot at a time, I also got the same consistency itha mid range output of 550psi, and I als noticed that when I used the slp tank on any of my markers including 2 victories in the past, I would get a drop in fps after the first shot during rapid fire. If my marker was set at 290fps, and I began to ramp, the first shot would comeout at 290fps, but every shot after would be in the low 280's untillI ceased the rapid firng.As soon as I switched to an adj reg and tested the outputs from 300psi, to 450psi, it still had drop in fps after the 1st shot, but when I increased my output to 550psi, the drop off stopped and all my shots during rapid firing crono'd around the 290fps i had it set to. This happened with my 2 victories, dm9, and insight. As soon as I switched to 550psi outpu0t, all these markers crono'd consistently at all times.

I’d never recommend replacing orings as a matter of habit. Replace seals when they need replacement, never before.

First Strikes will probably stay the same price until someone can make a cheaper competitor. As far as I know, MCS is the only company trying to make a shaped projectile and there hasn't been any updates on that in a long time

Hey Brad I started playing about ten years ago and am getting back into it after a couple years off. I have a Spyder Imagine and Smart Parts Ion. The issue is they are old and it’s starting to show with reliability. Should I just do the repairs or sell them and cough up the money for a new gun? If show what would be a good next Gun? This channel has evolved? Blasphemy! I hated the intro forever, but these days it just feels like a good pair of jeans. For kicks i'm replacing that boiler plate cheapo-china reg with an old Center Flag 420. Won't make any difference except I think the 420 is a little lighter.
