I won a 1v1 tournament back in my day. They did it during a 3v3 tournament that same day that our team won as well.

Back in the day, you kept shooting players who didn't call themselves out, but the speed and accuracy of the guns limited the amount of shots a player would take. Some of it is tied directly to the relationship between those players and the teams they are fighting, as conflicts will continue to rage up every game.

Well, stock class is the most skilled shot for shot and in maneuvering on the field... Only think flash in stock class is the uniforms and unique/custom color schemes on the guns usually.

I do airsoft, but it's the same thing. It's just unnecessary and toxic. You don't need to shoot a guy 10 times. It's just people being emotionally unstable and a need to feel strong. It's ridiculous

I played pro-am paintball from 2003-2007. On the beach from H.B. to Tampa Bay. Nothing shot more accurately at that time than a mechanical autococker! But the cheater boards ruined everything... including the paintball industry.

Jesus Christ. I Played in 2006 and bought a ION. 18 years or something. Won a local cup. 2nd place in another. Then I left, 'cause I was getting to much physical damage. ( I wonder if the paintballs evolved in technology and it isn't as damaging as it was back then.) 20 years almost, I'm buying a solenoid to repair and sell this weapon (intended). Dude, WTF is this sport. Seriously.

As a non paintball player, I see this kind of aggression and intentional (oh, they know they are but just lie that they didn't know) overshooting turns potential new players away from playing. I don't know if this is gonna happen at every game or just around these immature "adults/teens". Looks bad for the image of paintball in my opinion. I will stick to airsoft for now. Also, as an airsoft player, those are most definitely intentional over shooting and malicious attacks where the players know the rules are under (loose) interpretation and discussions of intent. That is why they do it and get away with it. No "real" reprecutions from do it. No fear of breaking a rule or possibly seriously hurting someone in a sport where being minorly injured is part of the sport.

Does it really matter? Looks like they don't even feel those hits. Might leave a small bruise, but if these shots don't actually cause real damage, just let it go. What are they shooting? 100-150 psi.
@cmans7772 күн бұрын
Braindead comment. PSI does Not equate to FPS. A paintball shooting at 300fps feels the same no matter the PSI required to make the marker cycle. If you really care, the PSI on most tourney air tanks is 4,500 PSI. The regulator on the bottle scales in down to around 800 PSI and from there the marker's regulator and pneumatic system does the work to scale it down further. I agree about overshooting though. I used to love getting shot and enjoyed the pain. Played at a D2 level consistently. The main reason we'd shoot players after they were out was to make the next point harder for them. If you've ever played a tournament you know how quick the games go. Very quick back to back points and you need a pit crew to get you ready for the next game. And unless you have a large roster and can switch out for fresh players then you keep running the same guys back to back. Having to clean up all that paint really kills your mojo and makes getting ready 10x more difficult. Especially because if they go into the next game with one of those shots on them they could get a penalty as there would be no way to prove when they were hit. I've seen it all happen. Multiple shots to the back of the head from close range are different though. I've blacked out from that. Almost got ejected from the tournament because while blacked out I guess it looked like I was going to bash the guy with my air tank? 😂

Back in 2000 and 2001 I could easily shoot 20 to 25 balls a second with my evil omen in semi-auto mode. so I don’t know if this dude is talking talking about.

Back when I played CFOA Xball it was 15.4bps, and I played that until they had dropped it to 12 something and then down to 10. I’m much prefer the game with the lower bps cap.

Overshooting is just another form of poor sportsmanship, if a ref isn't calling it out it's because that ref isn't a true ref. The sport clearly needs to be cleaned up. I left paintball about 15 years ago because of this. It's only becoming more and more toxic, it's not very professional anymore.

Being that this is just a softcore war simulator game just allow people who are being overshot to fight the people who are doing it after enough hands and faces keep getting beat in for doing it the overshoot will stop whining online will do nothing start treating this game like old school hockey

Overshooting is like in MMA when one fighter starts hammer fisting his clearly out cold opponent until the ref pulls him off it's a clear display of a lack of discipline and proper training

There is no upside to it IMO. It's just disgraceful and shows a lack of control. It makes the sport look childish. It's one thing to get hit a few times. We've all played, it's part of it. But some of these are just players loosing their cool. I also dont think its a good thing for players to be known for it just because theyre trying to make a statement. Those players should be punished. If they want to keep doing it, with the punishment, go for it. But they should be punished. The whole reason it upsets the other team is because subconsciously we ALL know its disrespectful and really shouldn't be allowed.

Dirty players.....see, now when i hear that i think to the one NHL guy of a certain background who killed a guy.....THAT was dirty and 100% he should have gone to jail. But over shooting here, makes the shooter look like a little bitch. Whose really in the wrong here. The mohawk guy, yeesh.

Man its been so long since ive been out of the game. I stop competing and playing altogether when i was 18/19 (2006). Overshooting was a thing but it was not very common. Sure some people sometimes got upset but i think that was more ego driven than anything else and not people teying to "hurt" someone. I couldnt get over the cheating. Blantant cheating everywhere. From sandbagging to wipes to ramped markers and of course refs playing favourites. I figured it was just part of the game. All good, had great memories and experiences. I dont remember ever being obsessed over anything in my life except paintball.
