The provider whom I purchased my hearing aid did not teach/ tell me any of this. All he said was "all the information you'll need is in the box." with my hearing aid. 😕 thank you for this information extremely helpful.

Can the white wax guard be removed, cleaned and reused by reinserting it back into the receiver?

It can, however the small size of the filter itself and the holes make it difficult to ensure that it's completely clear. It's recommended to replace with new.

Very informative and nice video. My father's DBHL is 71 in right and left ear. Severe sensorineural hearing loss. 71 years old. Could you please tell me me which type hearing aid should we use. Which brand is reliable . High frequency hearing loss . Which is best between RIC and BTE in this case? Please answer. It will be very helpful.

either online or who ever prescribed your hearing aids......just make sure you know what ones they gave you know the brand and if you are confident of the brand of wax guards...by all means buy online..good luck hoped that helped

Hi: A week ago I was at the audiologist office and after a number of tests, she prescribed me a pair of hearing aids with a quote of $4800, which will be fitted on me a week later. Later at home, I Googled and found the online price of exactly the same hearing aids to be $3200. Is this normal, or am I getting scammed? Is the $1600 difference quite customary and necessary to cover the service to be provided by the audiologist in the weeks/months afterwards?
