It would honestly be amazing to have both 2100 and 2102 reunite after several years being apart. Would you ever think to bring 2100 to Strausburg? Since I’m sure Reading & Northern would love to being 2102 here as well. Since 611 has visited Strausburg several times.

Hello Cayden, should an opportunity arise that can logistically be done, and is financially viable, ASR will do everything possible to make a meeting with the 2102 happen, or go to other locations such as Strasburg. When 2100 is finished, it should head over to Pennsylvania to visit her sister 2102 and have a special “Rambler Doubleheader” on the Reading and Northern

How do they get in and out of the boiler

Greetings, thank you for your question. We take the steam dome lid on top of the boiler off, which has an opening large enough for a person to climb down into the boiler. Thank you for your interest in the 2100.

Just a curious question for people who want to know, how much does a tube cost and how many do you need still?

Hello Dan, the current cost for a 10 gauge boiler tube at the length we need is $124.02. Thankfully we were able to pre-raise funds to apply to the boiler tube project cost, and were able to reduce the remaining cost down to $95.00 per new tube. We currently still need to raise $16,000.
