Just word of advice from one Evo X Owner to another make sure that yes when You detail your engine compartment make sure that your not only putting a bag on the air intake cone but also Make sure to Put a bag on your alternator Which is notorious for messing up When it gets wet., As well as Another plastic bag covering your ECU That's right next to that red cap That also should be bagged It should look like a little black box. where the battery would go If not covered you run the risk of Short-circuiting. the computer. Another thing is to make sure that you don't have your car Engine. running hot when you decide to do this.Because adding cold water to a hot block could crack the block ,When the motor is to hot So make sure you wash your Engine while it's still cool To the touch. Let it dry out after an hour or two and then start the Engine. And last but not least, when you're pouring water on top of the spark plugs Coil packs. Try not to put too much water there. Because once it goes in, you're gonna have to figure out some way to get the water out Or else you will start to see corrosion on the spark plugs And God forbid, if it goes into the combustion chamber. and that comes to another thing, have a leaf blower. Or some type of compressed air to get that water out In order to not create rust in tiny places that you can't reach. Like rusty spark plugs. Not trying to sound like I'm hating. Just trying to make sure you don't Do the mistakes that other people have done and mess up your EVO And yes, vinegar would go a long way on those bolts. One more thing, you would want to do. To give it that pro look. Engine degreasers tend to dry up the hoses, And plastics. giving it that dull look and under heat Might Even crack Your hoses After some time. to prevent this,Use "Gunk engine protector shine" After detail your Engine why? Because it will help you Defend your engine against dirt and oil. Locks in the clean with tough, protective layer that leaves a showroom quality shine and makes future cleanup easier. Other than that, everything was great!! wheel cleaner Brushes and Detail brushes with water Hose, And some Elbow grease, And some "Gunk foam engine cleaner",is all you need.

A good hint from a fellow evo x owner from miami is vinegar on your clamps and other bolts that are rusty. i recently just did a full engine detail and the vinegar worked miracles.
