Cleaned out the throttle body today. Did everything like your video, except opening the IAC completely. I took the sensor part off and cleaned it. Didn’t want to make a gasket so kept that metal part on. Now vehicle is idling at 500-600 RPM. Didn’t stall on m yet. Took it for a test drive and no check engine light so far. Thanks for your help. You got yourself a new subscriber. Need to watch more of your vids since I have a 2002 TJ. Ty!!!

Watched a few of these .You covered the process from start to finish THE BEST. Proper removal of all sensors and cables so I did not break one.. also you went a step better than the others by removing the sensor that needs a gasket and a quick tip how to make one. No unnecessary chit chat and a thorough test procedure. GREAT JOB.

Great video! I just cleaned the throttle body on my 2002 Wrangler Sahara and replaced spark plugs. Now, the jeep starts right up and keeps a constant idle. Purrs like a kitten! Thanks man!

Great video and a big help to a TJ newbie in the UK. Just changed the throttle sensor and I am pretty sure the housing needs a clean. Thanks for the very clear guide.

Really easy way to fix that uneven steering wheel. Loosen the two screws on the collar that connects the tie rod to the pickman arm. Turn it clockwise or counter clockwise until your wheel is straight.

I know I made a video on it lol 😂

Hahaha. Hell yeah. I just was letting you know cause I was super relieved when I finally found out how to straighten my steering wheel after 3 alignment shops couldn't do it 😂

Bro every alignment ship fucks my alignment up. And it’s the most simple steering system it’s ridiculous!!

Great Video suggestion if I may sizes of sockets/tools you used would be helpful too. You did mention 10mm for TB bolt removal but I don't recall IAC..TPS..MAP sizes. Ever cleaned the MAP not MAF sensor? Keep Up The Great Work Yazmin Venice Beach ⛱ CA
@SmokinMonkeyOG3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! You’re right I should lay they tools out and go over the sizes next time. To be honest I can’t remember what sensors I cleaned any longer it was a while ago I made this video lol but I do know the TJ doesn’t have a MAF it uses MAP sensor instead. But ya I can’t remember if I replaced or cleaned it.

What nut did you use to remove IAC housing?

Honestly can’t remember anymore it was 2 years ago

now remember when you go to larger tires ,your speedo and miles will be off, so you wont be able to figure mileage, and you will use alot more fuel,unless you regear

I just replaced my IAC. Now I get a 1296 code? And a hard start and stall. Why? I replaced my IAC, MAP and TPS 2 year's ago! This started when I down shifted into 2nd and back into drive. I didn't disconnect the battery when I removed the IAC plug. Is this the problem and how to fix??
