What kind of Glue did you use? And the Acetone is not for sale in California so what other cleaner solvent do you use?

We always use a 2 part glue, Zodiac or Stabond UK-148. If acetone isn't available, MEK(methyl ethyl Keytone) is the other option.

I have the same valves but I can’t find a proper pump! What did you use?

You'll need the adapter end. This boat uses 2 different valve and requires 2 ends. Generally the hose end is good for the keel, and the adapter is for filling the main tubes.

MEK and or Acetone, with lots of elbow grease lol.

@@gashopperinc thanks for that info, I can get acetone hear in France, what grit sanding dics do you use on your air orbital sander,? when it gets warmer I will have a bash as I have to work outside Cheers Robin

120 grit sandpaper is what we are using, but 180 or 220 is just as good.

Great video! What is the turnaround time/work hours on a job like that?

Will let you know when it's finished. But billing is about 26 hrs. labor + materials and supplies.

So the boat is finished and all times have been added up, turnover time for something like 65+ hours, that included all the old epoxy removal from the fabric around the transom area and cleaning up the mess.

Can I put a floor in my zodiac cadet fast roller 285 if so what type ?

You probably could. Would have to look for a boat in the same length and see of the floors fit, not just length, but the width also.

I recently bought a bris 15.4 . I hope it holds up. Any advice? It's brand new.

You shouldn't have any issues. Best advice I can give is clean the boat after each heavy use, and apply UV Protectant. If only using it for light uses, then clean once a month and apply UV protection. If you can, leave the boat inflated, doesn't have to be fully inflated, but just enough to prevent fabric wrinkles and folding, as over time those folded areas will become weak spots and most importantly, if storing outside, keep it covered when not in use. Keep in mind it is a Chinese manufactured boat, and depending on the glue they used, life expectancy is roughly 10, but will last longer if you care for it. If they used the higher end glue, glue life can be as long as 15-20 years if cared for. Another factor for the life of these boats is your environment also.
