That must be so satisfying getting to the end of a day/week and seeing those piles cleared. And being able to have farther and son working together on this is priceless love it. My very very best wishes for you both and that you stay healthy for many years to come so you can kick back on the future porch and enjoy the fruits of your labour.

My property used to be used to process firewood before I bought it and moved in and the whole driveway was completely wood chips and chunks from years of cutting wood and I finally got the top layer raked into one pile to compost it and there was a lot of good soil underneath already!

For bigger projects, feeding the chipper with a horizontal feed is soooo much easier than the vertical feed on smaller chippers. Also, if you plan on hauling the chips elsewhere, you can position a trailer. truck or tarp to collect the chips. Chipping is addictive.

Incredible! And to think....i am trying to do the same thing with 6 acres of woods by hand. It is a chore for sure. I have burned 1000 piles to date and still got 4 acres to thin and clean up. It was nice to finally find another person doing the same thing by hand. ill be trying a chipper next.
