That was due to a missing signal and the burnt part of the COF as shown in the video.

What about that large hole in the cable.

That's likely the result of a serious burn due to mositure damage, and perhaps also due to the shoddy soldering. The previous repairman didn't take some things into consideration before attempting the repair. He just made it worse.
