I only use muriatic acid 15-18% diluted for the most stubborn stains. Pour only a liberal amount (500ml) on the bowl wait around half hour to let it do its job. Then viola...clean like new.

I tried the old Coca Cola trick on our loo thinking if it can clean up copper coins it must do something but it made not a jot of difference and yeah ... it did seem like a waste pouring it down there. I've been using toilet bowl cleaner on hard water stains on sinks drains. I found out one time when it was the only thing at hand, left it for 20 minutes, brushed it off with a toothbrush and repeat one or two times

If you have a septic system, please just read on. Before you try anything, check the ingredients you are using. Some ingredients might kill the bacteria in your septic tank. This can result in the septic tank filling up and backing up into your house, requiring you to have the tank pumped. If you have a septic system, avoid using anti-bacterial products that can harm your system. Many products designed to clean a toilet that will flush into a septic tank will tell you if it's safe to use. Don't use it if it doesn't say it's safe to use in a septic system.

There's a septic tank where I'm at and since I don't want to spend big bucks to have it pumped out and new bacteria put in I refuse to do anything unless I'm absolutely sure. I hate complications in life.

Zep high acid toilet bowl cleaner works great in 15 minutes. To prevent the gunk from building in the first place, use Whink RUSTGuard No Scent Toilet Bowl Cleaner 4 oz Tablets. That combo works great!

The phosphoric acid in cola just isn't concentrated in enough to be effective. Concentrated phosphoric acid is also sold as limescale and rust remover. It's a weaker acid than muriatic acid so it needs more time but you can use it on metals too. Muriatic acid makes steel brittle.

Good video! To raise the water a bit higher (uses less coke or vinegar, etc) fill an empty single serving WATER BOTTLE and cap it. Drop in the bottom of bowl to raise level of liquid.

I have an issue that most people have... I have a doggo that uses the toilet for drinking water. My solution for lime and staining can NOT use chemicals so that's why I use hot white vinegar for my cleaning needs. It has served me well and Eve (my Aussie) won't get sick from drinking a little highly diluted vinegar water.

"The Works" is extremely effective, even for very hard water stains in toilets. Let it sit for 10 minutes, even on heavy buildup, scrub and done.

If this is the case I suggest you need to get out more; I really couldn’t be bothered ‘faking’ results on my channel, I’m a cleaning specialist; I run training courses in specialist cleaning, and I own a suite of cleaning businesses. Trust me, the last product works.

Best place for cocacola imo is down the toilet and flushed immediately 😆. I think people are under the misconception that as Coke is a weak phosphoric acid solution, it will clean anything. Maybe copper oxides after a month of soaking.

Not the vinegar used for cleaning. Yes, there's a concentrated vinegar used for cleaning--it's something like 10%, rather than the 5% used for normal kitchen cooking. You can actually make your own concentrated washing vinegar at home by heating it in the microwave or on the stove to near boiling to steam off some of the water. WARNING: do not breathe the fumes! You WILL jack up your lungs, though not permanently if you don't breathe too much of it. I use boiling vinegar as drain cleaner and de-clogger, de-greaser and serious cleaner for my oven. I react badly to the fumes from industrial cleaners and their chemicals because I have asthma and I've got permanent lung damage from multiple bouts of pneumonia and scarring on my lungs, so I use vinegar and baking soda pretty much exclusively for cleaning everything. It's also safe on fabrics and most surfaces.

Easiest quickest cheapest way. Thick bleach and boiled water over night (even better if you remove the current water in the toilet, but you don’t have to) also out or around the bowl. It will slowly drip down over time bleaching it and making it whiter most of it will be gone. After the second day it will be all gone. And Once it’s white again. You just put bleach around the toilet bowl and a little bit directly in the middle. every other night. You don’t need to use boiling water once the brown marks have gone. Leave it Over night. And try not to flush until the morning (try to leave it atleast six hours if possible) Do this every 2-3 days it will stay white permenatly. It’s a trick a figured out when I was broke and living alone at 18. Bleach I buy cost 2 dollars. Cheapest brand I can find is what I’ll choose. Once you know this trick you can sort the problem from the first signs and resolve the issue quickly and never let it build up and get too tough. If you forget for a week, you will notice brown slowly coming back. But you’ll have it gone in one to two days

look soda is an alkaline where as vinegar is an acid .now the so called scale is actually Calcium which dissolves in acid not alkaline but the other property of soda is its an abrasive thus it polishes the porcelain of you rub vigorously .so taking boiling hot vinegar on a rag or toilet paper leaving it 1/2 An hour will remove the calcium scale . calcium is actually a metal so it's not going down with out a fight . or you can fill the toilet bowl with hot vinegar for a half an hour and flush. the same holds true for your electric kettle or automatic coffee machine or your clothes iron fill the iron with vinegar ones every 4- 6 weeks and your iron will last a long long time . I live in Israel and I do this all the time a kettle can be washed by boiling lemon juice if no vinegar is available adding vinegar to the rinse cycle in you washing machine will not only remove any residual detergents by stop whites from turning brownish with age also it will make baby clothes hypoallergenic avoiding diaper rash
