Watching people problem solve is often much more useful than just following along with the typical "how-to" tutorial. Good work! Thanks.

A few people had mentioned that so I thought this could be a helpful video 👍🏻😁 Great to have that confirmed.

This is the kind of stuff 3-D printers who just have dont have a big knowledge of blender but really need to get things done, need. Thank you.

I picked up Mesh Machine on sale yesterday and wow is it a HUGE time saver.

It's such a good addon. It does things that should take maybe an hour (or are impossible) in seconds.

What a great solution! That tip to get rid of the bottom vertices so you just have to deal with the top alone is a huge tip for me. Thank you!

I appreciated seeing this as well. Prior to seeing this my approach had been to box select the bottom vertices and scale to 0 on the relevant axis. My approach works, but it's difficult to be accurate because the model must be fully on screen.

YEES! Problems! That's most time consuming issues when dealing with f.e. editing already modeled and imported STLs =))))) Nice. I've done a lot of that sort of cleaning already =)

Fantastic, gonna be working on a two part mold for a rather complex sculpt here soon so this info will def come in handy! As always thanks for the lesson! ❤

Does anyone know why hardops Boolean hotkeys "CRTL numberpad Minus" in object mod are not working?
@ArtisansofVaul7 ай бұрын
That's very odd. Was it working before? If it was have you installed anything that could have "hijacked" that keyless shortcut?
@matty77887 ай бұрын
@@ArtisansofVaul I dont know Ive tried testing it by mapping it to "shift Minus" but still nothing. None of the other booleon keys work either

@@matty7788 Have you got the current version of Blender and the current version of Hard Ops? I've never heard of that messing up...
@matty77887 ай бұрын
@@ArtisansofVaul Yeah 4.1 on Blender and 9.88.3 with Hard ops. Did remove and reinstall but still nothing 🙃. Thank you for replying by the way

Thanks for the knowledge. Can you show how to make an injection mold like miniatures? like injection molds of tanks and airplanes. Where the thickness of the entire part is 1-2 mm.
@ArtisansofVaul7 ай бұрын
I have made molds before but only for resin. Plastic injection would be a bit beyond my knowledge set (though it would be something I'd love to learn).

Apparently there were others that were invisible. Not only are you looking for the smallest yellow, z-fighting can hide it, sometimes completely
@ArtisansofVaul7 ай бұрын
Yeah, exactly. I like to catch the major ones but I think this is a good show of the limitations of doing it visually and the limits of the 3D print check.
@eitantal7267 ай бұрын
@@ArtisansofVaul It's unfortunate that a solution for this isn't automated. would be nice if there was an option for blender to automatically merge vertices that will overlap like that
@ArtisansofVaul7 ай бұрын
@@eitantal726 It does have some limited options when you click the make manifold option but I have found it doesn't work perfectly.
