Living in what might considered perhaps the "opposite" of the Clear Creek Abbey, New York City, I so enjoy whatever look I can get in to the lives of the monks. I watched a documentary on the monks from ten or more years ago, when one of them said something to the effect of "We'd love to get about 50 or 60 monks, and then, it's time to build another abbey". I must admit, it didn't occur to me that this would ever happen, and I'm so thrilled that the possibility is close, difficult as it may be to bring to fruition. May God continue to bless all of you, and to grant the grace for ever-more contemplative vocations.

I recently spent a weekend on spiritual retreat at the Abbey. I can only describe the experience with Christ Jesus and the Benedictine monks as sublime. I truly touched the fringe of Heaven, albeit for the briefest of moments. 😌
