Thank you for the mentions. The mods are great. You worked in the switch and led placements very well. I think I like your version better than mine. It makes we wish I would have used AA batteries instead since they're commonly available . I'm not wild about using LIPOs but they're small and powerful. The resin printed dome turned out a lot better than I thought it would. It's strange watching a video of someone watching my video. Thanks again, Rick

I think I will try one more resin dome, this time when its done and cleaned I will pour some resin over it and then cure it, just to see if it makes it look water clear like it does on the printer . just a test to maybe learn something.

@@Robothut You might also try Pledge Floor Gloss, formerly known as Future. Just a thought...

That’s what I did I did wet sanding with grits 1000 to 3000 and buff on clothe wheel . Got it very clear on a Robby domes I use to make took 2 hours of polishing. I made them in silicon mold . That dome you have there is not too bad , takes a lot of patience. 🤖👍🏻

Yes I thought about wet sanding / buffing but decided heck with that. Good to know that it would work. Thank you for commenting.

So cool! The exact mods I was considering when first seeing Rick's awesome pin bot. Is your modified version available to download and print?
@Robothut2 жыл бұрын
I do not think that I did put the files on thing-i-verse since it was Rick's design. I am sure that I would have added link to the STL files if I had. But you can do a search on thing-i-verse for "Robothut" and that should bring up all the mechanical 3d printed robots that I have listed.

Wet/Dry sand paper?
@Robothut2 жыл бұрын
Yes I have just experimented with that and you can sand it then coat it with spray clear and get a very clear looking dome. Seems like a lot of work when a DIY vacuum form dome could be made a lot faster when you add in the print time. Also for a lot less money.
