I think that soft can also be the result of browns added, rather than grays. Though maybe that would just be the difference of warm soft versus cool soft.

So appreciate this video! But... I'm almost more confused than ever! I feel like I look good in grey, but also in very clear reds, greens, and purples. I avoid yellow, orange, and blue, plus anything on the beige spectrum. And mauve is also my best nude lip. My parents were total opposites colouring-wise so maybe I'm just a mixture?! And I'm just thinking aloud, not expecting you to solve my mysteries! XX

@@Sophie_theesthetician Greeny blue, and I think clear? (On each side of the family I had one blond, blue eyed grandparent, and one with dark hair, brown eyes, and olive skin.) Questioning everything now though lol. I might need to start checking with my friends that my clothes and makeup actually suit me as well as I think they do 😘

It’s hard to reconcile being clear with winter coloring and soft natural kibbe (recommends “natural” colors). Plus being a pale olive. I feel quite limited to always having dark/black hair. I wonder what hair color would look best on a clear pale olive

Ok so are you saying that clear, pale olive, and winter all kind of fit together, but all seem opposite to soft natural Kibbe? Because I agree. I actually think this is super cool because you could probably get away with bright colors and less definition, which is what I see when I think of K beauty trends. I am a Soft Dramatic (also clear pale olive) so bright colors with crisp definition works well for me. But that blurred cloud makeup vibe doesn’t quite suit me even if the colors are correct. Curious to know your thoughts. Hope I’m understanding you correctly!

I think you are talking about the old recommendations. Kibbe has a new color theory. Not saying I agree with it, but your kibbe id doesnt limit the colors you can wear.

I have very similar skin and eyes to you but my hair is a slightly lighter and warmer brown if that helps.

Hi. My skin tends to look yellow get my lips make lipstick pull blue pink on me. Recently bought a coral pink lipstick that looks just the right side of pink on me. The sales lady was really taken aback as she said the lipstick looks orange coral on her. Why would I look yellow yet my lips turn lipsticks more blue pink?

Likely because you have a yellow undertone so things look less warm on you. Conversely if you had a cool or pink undertone, things would “turn orange” on you.

The easiest way to tell is whether you look good in gray vs optic white or black.

That is certainly a great way to tell! I help people with this in real life all the time though and not everyone knows the answer to that. Multiple clues are really necessary to do a personal color analysis!

Interesting! We aren’t going to all perfectly fit into categories- so you could very well be clear and have gray eyes. If your eyes have a bright appearance, that could fit the clear theory though.

Are jewel tones soft colors then? Those look best on me with black as well :)

They could be either but I feel like whenever I see jewel toned clothing they contain some kind of heathering that softens the color! It’s hard for me to find jewel toned clothing that is clear enough for myself. But technically jewel tones can be either. When I think of actual emeralds and sapphires and rubies etc, I see clear colors.
