Clearest dive in NC - Normania

This weekend we dove twice at the Normania. It was the clearest dive I've ever had. We caught our limit of lobsters, and groupers, and got to kill off some lionfish as well while trying out the Aquatic Hunt container and spear. This will be the last time we dive the Normania this season.

Pero no entiendo pq la gente critica a los que haces pescasub con bombona, aunque sea con bombona, no quita que sea la pesca mas sostenible… me gustaria entender tu punto de vista, llevo un año haciendo pescasub en apnea y no veo el problema de hacerla con bombona, siempre y cuando sea con una legislación igual que todas las demas artes

Looks like the eddy is moving south as well as the better vis. Our vis this weekend has gotten worse. So maybe you'll get better vis as the season moves on.

There's a reason why fish are freely going over 100ft under water. To save themself from being hunted. It's check and balance. But you guys dont have limits. Im a fisherman and im disgusted with your actions. Tell a person that you have freezer full of fish that you went scuba to hunt them and see if they want to get any of your fish.

What great visibility! A couple of great dives. I appreciate your narration. Would love to hear even more comments about what you were seeing and thinking as you went through your dive, and identifying some of the other 'shootable' fish that come into view of your camera. I am learning a lot from other divers like yourself right now and beginning to implement it into my own diving. And for those who are not spearfishermen and just watching because they love the underwater, having you point out various kinds of fish would make it more enjoyable and educational. Thanks!

This guy is a bad indicator of what good spearfishermen in the states are capable of. Having said that, fishing regulations here are very strict. That’s why we have so many fish and you have close to none.

I was quickly scrolling through the video thinking, 'Spearfishing with a scuba tank isn't really spearfishing.' I paused at 21:46 just to witness someone missing a sleeping lionfish with a pole spear tfifteen times in a row. Not exactly impressive.

I have 2 comments 1st- what are the leash like things you wear on your ankle, I also scuba dive out of Wilmington and haven’t seen those before. 2nd- you said that you wear shark shield to protect against sharks. What is that?

It is a battery strapped to your ankle on a 6' wire lead. If it touches you a certain way, it shocks you with a pulse. It sends out electrical waves. Sharkbanz is a completely different product. I used to use sharkbanz forever ago. I couldn't tell it did anything.

I'd like it more if the company didn't go out of business and the screen/controller didn't break on the 12th dive, while never actually being slammed against anything other than the water at first entry. I bought a screen protector from a guy in Australia for my 2nd one. Lets see if it breaks as easily. I've got the new Lefeet P1 XR coming at the end of the month too.

I've never spearfishing using scuba, you had all day to wait out the African pompano, agreed that gun was too small more for freediving in 20 to 40 feet .it looked like a 48inch. I don't know about scuba and spearfishing I learned as a kid in CA breathhold leagal.

The sound isn't that bad in person. I tone it out 99% of the time. I do wish they'd make a scooter a size between these types I use, and those massive $10,000-20,000 scooters. Something in the $2,000 range with the battery, size, and speed to make sense. I bet it wouldn't have as high pitch of a whine on video.

Yeah every part of the world is different. With lobsters, In Florida you can only use tickle sticks and nets, but you can catch like 10+ per person. In NC you can catch them any way except by spear and only 2 per person. But you go to the Bahamas and apparently you're allow to spear lobsters and catch more than 2. Every place has their own set of rules.

Non, partout dans le monde , c est illégal parce que immoral , le fait que certains américains s autorisent à pêcher des langoustes​ avec une bouteille montre leur arrogance et leur mépris pour la nature et ce n est pas parce que c est légal que c est une bonne chose , il y a encore des pays oùl esclavagisme et la peine de mort existent encore , ainsi que la chasse à baleine par certains japonais. Ce n est plus de la chasse mais de la cueillette ; quoique vous êtes tellement nuls que vous ratez plusieurs fois des poissons immobiles , pourtant c est une espèce invasive et ils sont l un des rares poissons dont la pêche peut être pratiquée en bouteille car c est une espèce invasive qui détruit tout , mais ce n est pas le cas de la langouste. Et puis quelle fierté après? Gagner une course de natation avec des palmes 😮🎉 ( et encore que ce serait plus glorieux car il faudrait palmer ) . Là , vous ressemblez aux gros dans Wall-E qui ne font plus aucun effort pour se servir ou Cartman en fauteuil pour personne obèse dans South Park , même pas une goutte de sueur ni le pouls qui monte pour un petit effort . A cette profondeur , les animaux se pensent en sécurité car ils savent que personne ne les chassent aussi bas donc pour vous , la mer est un self service, un supermarché gratuit ,aucun intérêt sauf pour montrer TOUT ce qu il ne faut pas faire en Chasse sous marine ou même en plongée@@carolinaseahornets
