Clearing black vertical lines on copies or scans - MCFL5800DW or MFCL6700DW

The video worked just fine. I was initially going to stay no but, then tried cleaning the glass several more times and eventually, the scanned copy and printed copy came out with out a line. Thanks very much!

thanks for the cleaning tip. i used alcohol pads and i was able to clean the scanning glass and the stripe went away. love my old Brother 7065DN printer. I bought it back in 2015.

Worked perfectly on my MFC-7860DW. Thanks! A clue to the location of the problem was that no black vertical line occurred when I printed a document from my computer, only when I copied a document from the document feeder or from the scanner glass.

I tried this with a clean dry cloth and it all looked clean and new: still got stripes. Tried again with white spirit and could not tell the difference, but the stripes went away. So follow the instructions!
