How to Fix Streaks and Lines in Scans, Copies & Faxes from Printer or Copier

You may experience a print quality issue when scanning or copying from the ADF (Automated Document Feeder) or Scanner Flatbed when using a Multi-Function Printer (MFP) or Copier.
The most likely cause of lines on scans or copies is a mark or scratch on the ADF glass or scanner flatbed. The paper is fed past the ADF glass or Scanner Flatbed when scanning or copying and any small defect can be displayed as a vertical line on the page.

Hi, I have a Canon MFP ImageRunner Advance. Recently I had my scans save as skewed or slanted images. I thought it might be the Auto Document Feeder, so I changed the rollers. That didn't help. Yesterday I discovered when I wanted to scan some important documents (50 of them)... I ignored the option of the Auto Document Feeder as my scans were slanted or skewed, and I instead used the flat bed scanner on the printer. But lo-and-behold, my scans from the flat bed scanner were skewed too! How is this possible?
