My daughter has moved out a few years ago and so much clutter left in her room. I keep waiting for her to come home to clear it out. But since it hasn't happened Ive started to declutter ... Wow that's a big undertaking lol few weeks into and energy is more positive in the house already

I am really digging deep with decluttering unfished artwork that have lost inspiration. Its not easy but its like calling back your energy because unifinished creative projects will suck your energy and keep it stuck.

I’m always Decluttering and really believe in it BUT what’s interesting is although my homes (I move a fair bit as renting) are usually clutter free as I always decluttering before every move, I’ve had old things of my daughter’s childhood stored at my mom’s house and always felt I needed to keep all of it and I know for example, I don’t need to keep 100 of her kindergarten paintings - that 10 will suffice! I guess I’m finally emotionally ready not to keep EVERYTHING. This video has just motivated me to go decluttering those boxes (and giant trunk!) over the Christmas period. Thank you! 😊❤️

So often you touch on things that really resonate with me! Thanks for taking the time to make these videos and for making them available. Sometimes the perspective you hear from someone else helps you give a framework to the emotions or feelings you have but haven't been able to put into words, or drive forward enough to initiate action. I also think that it was a bold move for you to say not to get rid of something if you aren't ready, and that it's okay to keep some sentimental items. I wonder if that isn't sometimes a hurdle that is so high that it keeps some people from even starting to declutter.... 🤔 BUT...being given "permission" to keep some items or hold on to some until someone is able to part with them may help some people begin to think that if they can keep some things, they can begin to let go of other things. If forced to let go of all kinds of things quickly, it may be too overwhelming to even start... Maybe that's why people who have lost a lot of weight quickly (like Biggest Loser contestants) often gain back a lot or more weight too. It's body clutter, but maybe being pushed to let it all go at a rapid pace is too much. I think the energetic component of inanimate objects and the attachment aspect can be easy to overlook or dismiss for some people. Sorry, thinking out loud here.... ;) Thanks again. It's not a feeling of lack of abundance or no money to purchase. It's that they quit making stuff and I can't find it anymore. I guess that's a reason to keep it. Ooo! I think I'm learning.
