There was 20 years of built up Mud & Manure in the barnyard combined with a Wet rainy summer. I Figured I would get stuck before this job ended. All the MUD mixed with weeds and manure had to get moved. The water table was right there making the ground super soft. I figured I was going to probably get stuck before this job was done.

I have a coonhound shepherd mix. I love taking him out of the city to a friends farm. The worst part for me is listening to him on the way there. Not only does he bark at everything, it’s at a volume well above what most dogs can achieve. He yelps and chases anything motorized, but loves visiting all the animals, it’s hilarious watching him playing with goats, they chase each other around.

You were creating so many new "smells" for Lucy to enjoy, she didn't want to miss anything. Years ago I had a cat that was a lot like your Lucy, when I would snow plow (1974 Jeep Commando), as soon as I would start backing up and raising my plow she would run into the area and start examining what I had just pile up. She would stay there until I got close with the next load of snow and repeat it all over again. My wife called her "fearless fozdick", fozzy for short.

Stan, When I was in second grade we moved to 176 acres East Central Missouri. Early 60s. The house was 20'x22' and my parents and three brothers and I lived in it. No running water and had to go down the 100' path to use the outhouse. The funniest thing ever happened was when we got drilled well and sewer with bathrooms, my mother excitedly decided it was time to burn the 2 hole'r outhouse down. Extremely dry wood so, of course the flames went high in the air. What she didn't think of was that the electric pole was only feet away. We had to get the brand new water hoses out and put out the fire on the electric pole!

Hi Stan. That stingy weed is very common where I'm from. Poland that is. In the old days that weed was used occasionally to feed pigs, you cut it, chopped like a salad and mixed with pigs food, they really dug in. Polish name for it Pokrzywa. Also was used by people to improve blood circulation and some made some sort of tea out of it, has healing abilities. In CT I've found only once the one that burns and got burned on purpose, just to remind myself the old days. Have a good one.

I’d prefer watching videos like this any day over building walls. I know it’s not your regular business but the farm life is a lost art we need more of. And as much as I love my dog, I can’t stand having her out when I’m in the tractor. I’m way too worried I’ll end up baking over her. She just like yours and wants to be with me always.

Growing up on a 160 acre farm in Ohio in the 60's was awesome. When I was six we had a golf course built across the road. We had to hoe the weeds in the bean fields at 6 and then we could go golfing after that. Shovel's worked great on woodchucks and ratcoons. Worst day of my life was when we sold the farm at age 13.

I was born in NYC but as I got older my family started renting houses in upstate NY, and now we are trying to live upstate full time, I have started my own landscaping business called “Declan’s lawn and landscaping”, I am kind of not really in the market for a used skid steer because I want to regrade my whole 3 acre backyard after it got infested with voles which are like little moles but have little mazes that aren’t fully underground making mowing a little uncomfortable. We also want to expand our backyard so we can use more of the land we own.

You need a Cat 320L for that pond. I grew up about 360 miles east bye Southeast in Kenosha County Wisconsin. In a small community that know longer exists. With a lake on one side a hill to the NW and farmland to the southwest. I helped my neighbor with their Horses, hiked, fished, and mountain biked the hill sled and Ice fished in the winter, and played if hockey or Ice Football. Baseball and football in the summer.

Here in the UK we call those 'itchweeds', stinging nettles. You usually find dock-leaves growing close to them. If you rub your stung area with a dock leaf, it neutralises the sting. Also, if you have to remove the stinging nettles by hand then do do from the bottom up, as the stinging part is only on the upper side of the leaves.

Stanley another great video. I commented on the ASV video you did with ASV love the track setup same as what's on my cat 277c but I've run into alot of issues with the tracks cleanout teeth tensioners ect now I'm running into something going on w rear bogies.something broke I can back up but the bogies get pushed forward while going in forward pretty sure they are stationary.if anything the job I was doing was a stress test moving 40 yds gravel stumping and grubbing. There were some large stones in the way didn't have an excavator w me but wanted to get it done. But sorry for ranting I really do love these tracks even though I roll my eyes alot at then on the other end not sure what ur ASV weighs but the 277c I believe is over 10k.
