I don’t expect it hurt any less in slow motion!!😲 I do love my forks…every attachment I bought, other than the backhoe which was MY absolute can not live without, was based on watching guys who already owned them. My real anticipation is the eventual arrival of my grapple!! That’s gonna be a real game changer! Thanks for the “backing down” tip…I’ll heed that advice!👍🏻

Hi Keith! No, it just hurt longer. 😄 Congrats on the grapple! Also, when carrying a load on the pallet forks on an incline it’s a good idea to be in 4WD. Thanks for watching!

Good days work, DIY. A lot done for Day 1. Will check out progress through videos. Great editing. Like that fan concept. Saw some other guy had one so I'll check out your videos to see how you attached with hook-ups. Have a fine week and keep them coming. Stay safe and keep enjoying what you do (smile). 👍

Thanks Houndsman! I plan to do a video on the fan, which comes on and off easily, along with videos on other tractor mods so stay tuned! Hope you have a great and safe week too!

I'd say day 1 was quite the productive day. Ain't nothin' like a good ol' 'Bota, man. I've been running a B7100 since 1980. Then a B2400 HST w/ loader since '05 and now a pretty nice 3030 HST. I've kinda let the B2400 go down to my son's house a couple miles away because he really can use it on his property right now. Of course with a handle like mine, a fellow can assume there are some horses of different colors around too....LOLOL. Now one thing I do not have is a battery powered chainsaw. I have an old buddy....literally old buddy, he's 87, and he want a new chainsaw and I'm trying to talk him into a battery powered saw because he says he can no longer start any of his saws. And they are all small Poulan's and Stihl homeowner series. He says he's afraid the batteries won't hold a charge and I told him they would work fine for as hard as he is going to work it. Do you agree ? After watching your 40 volt saw....I'm convinced.

Yeah, I love my L3901! I've had it a little over a year and have already put over 300 hours on it. The batteries do get weaker over time, like all batteries do, but if he's doing light to moderate work, I think he'd like a battery operated chainsaw. I'll be releasing a review video of the saw before long. When I do, maybe you can point him to it.
@tractorman44616 жыл бұрын
I'd like that for sure. I'll take the laptop to Mc Donalds where we sit at the 'Liars Table' one morning a week and show him first hand how well you do with it. My contention is #1, admittedly he no longer has the strength to start even his smallest gas saw and #2, "Heck Stan, you're 87 years old...those batteries can easily out last you".... followed by raucous laughter by all in attendance. Seriously though, I think if he's seriously got his heart on yet another saw, bless his soul, the battery saw is THE way to go for him. Thanks for your input sir.

So far I have two batteries and between the two of them, they last about as long as I do. I have a full review of the saw in the works and I’m still pleased with it. I have several Greenworks 40V tools I’ve been pleased with and will eventually review. BTW, I do have a corded chainsaw and a small generator to run it while in the field, but it mainly my “rescue” saw in case I get the cordless one pinched in a tree or log.

You are so right about it being hit or miss with the batteries. In the reviews I read before buying settling on the Greenworks, some said the batteries were great others complained that they died off quickly. I guess mine are middle of the road so far.

He still owns 20 + acres and his desire is to trim wind damaged branches that are blown into his clearing a good distance from his house. So he'd also have to have a self-start generator loaded in a trailer to get to the distant locations. I've been talking to him about the 36v Makita for the specific reason of the high quality of their tools and batteries. I've used Makita battery powered hand tools commercially for years and have experienced nothing but excellence.

Good looking shop, really appreciated the echo effect you used with your voice over while you where given the virtual tour. That's great that you think of those sorts of things. What editing software do you use. Seems like iMovie but you're adding some cool effects and I would like to know how you do that.

Thank you sir! I use Corel Video Studio Ultimate on a Windows PC. It has its quirks, but I’ve used it for years so I’m sticking with the familiar.

BTW, for the virtual tour, I did a screen capture video of me panning around the building on the website I show in the video and in the description.

Thanks for sharing! This will be a great project to follow. Is the building going to be a prefab structure? I can see the vegetation around is very dense. Which part of the USA are you? Is there any use for you of this wood? Heating? I like your fan on the ROPS. Very good idea. You made me laugh when you put some Echo in the building simulation! Thanks!
@DIYMyWay6 жыл бұрын
Good morning, Joe! The building will not be prefab. It will be custom built bu my friend and neighbor, Bob, who builds steel buildings for a living. I live in Georgia, so the only use I have for the wood is keeping enough for my patio fire 🔥 pit. As you’ll see in an upcoming video, all those trees disappear pretty quickly and spectacularly with the help of Bob’s old tract loader. That fan is a lifesaver during the hot Georgia summers! Got a video detailing how I mounted it. It comes off very easily for the winter ❄️ months. Ha! You are the first to mention the echo I added. Thanks for noticing and thanks for watching!

Good video but it was painful watching you try to believe in your battery powered saw...kinds sad...maybe it was the music! Give me my Husq. 455 any day. Gonna watch all these shop const vids. What i wanna do soon is build a shop like this ! Thanks you make great videos

You've discovered my secret! It's the music that makes my Greenworks saw better than your Husq! But you must promise not to tell anyone! Yep, loving the shop! Lots to do to outfit the inside, but having fun. Thanks for watching!

Was not a fan of electric chain saws but they have come a long way in recent years. Your ears don't ring either .

They sure have, Joe! Three years later, mine is still going strong on the original batteries. Thanks for watching!
