I hope you teach your students to pull them in nice and close rather than just shunting them away. Then you can redirect the power they release to send them crashing onto the pavement in an ugly manner. That gives you a chance to shout at them which gets attention. I'm only at the standing practice level and probably always will be, but given that I'm not the best at staying out of trouble I get to figure these little subtleties out early, I guess. Standing practice is amazing.
