I have seen Warren many times, he never disappoints. I just can't believe he was rated #25 on the all time list of greatest guitarist. Dumb. Top 10 if not top top 5.

For anyone who is seeing this video without ACTUALLY seeing Warren Haynes perform in real life.. Do yourself a favor and go see him!! There are very, very few guitarists left that can make playing guitar at the highest level look so incredibly easy and sing you a song while doing it. I saw him with Gov't Mule a few weeks ago: and it was easily one of the most impressive displays of talent I've witnessed (and I've seen ABB 7 times). The diversity of music and ease of playing is second to none

I got introduced to warren's music via phil and friends. I can recall vividly going to a show hours after taking my final in music theory. I experienced four part harmony on the fly. I spent weeks writing 128 bars of music for bass and three leads (ie a string quartet) they did that freely. Music is about feeling what note comes next, not about reading the notes or reducing it all to math. It was a lesson that taught me something about why i play music rather than read it. Music is an interacti

Gov't Mule - I'll Be The One When you're walking down the street I'll be the one that stares like a statue You turn the corner I'll be the one that follows you downtown When you finally notice me I'll be the one fumbling with his feelings Totally oblivious to anything and everything else around Girl, when we met I'll be the one that showers you with attention To win your love I'll fight until the very end When you treat me like a fool I'll be the one that doesn't need redemption Yeah, drive me away I'll keep coming back again and again I'll be the rain if you want me to be Help you to groa with no guarantee Even be the clown sad but true But don't use me up Or I'll be the one that used to worship you When silence fills your world I'll be the one that knows what you're thinking And when passion burns like fire I'll be the one bathing in the light When the curse of darkness falls I'll be the one who offers a candle I'll even be the cushion For things that go crazy in the night I'll be the rain if you want me to be Help you to groa with no guarantee Even be the clown sad but true But don't use me up Or I'll be the one that used to worship you I'll be the rain if you want me to be Help you to groa with no guarantee Even be the clown sad but true But don't use me up Or I'll be the one that used to worship you

Many thanks man for putting the lyrics up…..have seen Mule and Warren so many times, he’s such a superb player, singer and writer. Tried turning him on to people starting in about ‘93 ‘94 only a few got it back them. Many are still walking with jaws wide open after witnessing shows!
