You are very honest person. God will reward you and your family. I have already knew about Roth IRA because I have been investing for more than 30 years. As soon as Senator Roth had introduced this retirement vehicle, I have started investing. Too bad they don’t teach finances in schools here. In other countries they do and many people are able to retire comfortably. Take care.

I love trading inside the ROTH IRA and not having to worry about any taxes or wash sales or any of that crap that I have to do inside my standard brokerage account. Just gotta be careful in the ROTH IRA and not get too degenerate, if you lose the money in there it's hard to build it back up because of the yearly limit that you can put in which is $6,500 now I believe.

Thanks Brian. This was good timing. I have been putting 5% into my 401k for the company match (unable to do more at this time) but my company actually offers the same match on Roth contributions, so I am switching my contributions over to that starting today
@alrocky7 ай бұрын
For most people who contribute to Roth 401(k), the company match goes toward their traditional 401(k) balance. If you contribute to Roth 401(k) and if your company match goes toward Roth 401(k), you will pay the tax on that company Roth 401(k) match, so there is inherent advantage or "free lunch" here.

In my opinion, the Roth is especially better than 401k for younger people. #1 Investments will grow more over time and tax benefit at the end will be higher. #2 Early in career not earning as much compared to later in career and upfront tax benefit not as beneficial or needed.
