Hmm.. Is this a Minor or a Major fault?

For someone who has only driven 4 hours in a manual, his driving is impressive.

He’s done 4 hours driving lessons and driving with family so not just 4 hours otherwise this would be incredibly impressive

@@Em-un8gw yes I know that's why I said 4 hours in a _manual_ . For someone who just learnt how to drive a manual car after driving an auto, his level of driving is very impressive in my opinion. His gear changes are smooth and don't affect his steering, his clutch control is good, even when driving uphill he doesn't stall and he doesn't forget to gear down when slowing the car. It actually baffles me how someone can learn to handle the gears and clutch so well in a matter of 4 hours.

I watched your videos for around 4 hours last night to help me refresh everything before my test and I passed first time today. Your videos are very helpful to understand what examiners look for and where to look for things.

I mean being on the mock test after just 4h learning plus driving with parents he is a quite decent driver , he will be fine for his test if he catch up on signaling and checking blind spots 👍🏻 thx Aman ❤
@Leblribrbrrq

I agree. I would feel relatively safe with him driving. (Though, roundabout signaling works differently where I live so.) He just needs someone reminding him to signal and maybe a bit more parking experience for those blind spots.

Edit: You will do it Khurshid. Very nice drive. Next time you will do better! Looking forward to this afternoon. First Aman and drivinglesson of Khurshid. Then Racing in Zandvoort, which is about 5 to 10 km from my home. But the first is what I always like!

For only 4 hours driving Khurshid is doing well, He just needs things smoothing out and tidying up and a bit more care and attention, then He'll crack it no bother, well done Son.

I think he did absolutely fine with the parallel park. I get you are supposed to check the blindspot, BUT he knew exactly what was behind him prior to moving off and as he stopped so he knew his surroundings. Then moving forwards, he is moving towards the kerb so there is zero danger to other traffic. Pulling out onto the 40 was a lot worse so to "fail" on the parallel park seems wrong

as in the examiner or the person teaching you? Depends, I had one instructor who was really nervous and one who didn't give a damn ha! The examiners definitely don't care, and it's easy to tell, their literally have the most bored look on their face.

Following too closely?? I understand it's a different country, but in the U.S, that's like 2x the OFFICIAL taught length to be following (the official DOT (department of travel) says you should be about 3 seconds behind lol). Also, how do you guys manage to drive there? There's so many lanes lmao! Anyhow, great driving, ESPECIALLY for someone who hasn't driven all that much.

Hi Aman @ClearviewDriving. At 3:06 why was the car struggling even though he was at the bite point and giving gas ?I thought he d go faster. I fear such because with my instructor here sometimes he says take a turn whilst someone is coming in at like 45 and when If I were to emerge like this ..disaster .last time I could as I stalled and then went when it's as clear .and tips on moving out fast ?what's the gas clutch coordination supposed to be like ? Thanks ..and best regards,
@azmathchoudhury8702
@azmathchoudhury8702 Жыл бұрын
He was giving more gas after he had already raised it to the biting point instead of setting the gas properly before raising. Also the road was he was emerging onto was a slight hilly road, so would require a bit more gas to be set than normal. To help you move off faster generally speaking, this will take practice, set the revs a bit higher than normal and raise clutch to the biting point faster as well. The car will pull and you will move off a lot faster. Wouldn't recommend doing this all of the time as you may wear out the clutch with harder impacts.

Hi Aman! I have a question about your vehicle, do you have to have extra or special repairs/services done because your car is used by learners? I’m assuming the gear box and clutch take an absolute beating which means more maintenance for the car? I’d love a video or even a short about the details surrounding your car! (Maybe even include the whole process of having the dual controls installed)

That's harsh, that's a pass, he never had a serious fault. That roundabout signalling "error"was a minor. Creeping forward when that bus was squeezing by was a debateable fault.
@ThisNicknameWasTakenYearsAgo
@ThisNicknameWasTakenYearsAgo Жыл бұрын
That's because they are milking learners (Im biased here, but even my instructors think so). I already failed twice with only 1 serious. The first one was on a pedestrian crossing, I didn't let everyone pass as one person was in my blindspot. I agree with that one, just unlucky. The second I was failed for turning right on a small roundabout, and they said I have not checked traffic from the right enough. Their arguement was that the visibility was limited, but you could see atleast 15 meters down the road, so I'm not sure how that's valid. They said I should have fully stopped at a give way line, but in my head they should add a stop sign for that. Unfortunately examiners word is way above yours, and you can't do much about it, so if they want to fail you, they will :)

It's better to be stricter on the mock than the real to get students well above standard than it is to minimise faults such that they think they're at the standard when they might not be. The missing right signal looks harmless when it isn't actively causing problems, but as Aman explained, it can potentially be dangerous in less fortunate circumstances, hence why it can get marked as a serious fault.

Hi from Australia @clearviewdriving! I’m just wondering why it was a major fault when he didn’t signal at the round about and then a minor fault when he didn’t signal at the traffic lights? Also, I’m enjoying your videos and they might even inspire me to finally get my license!
