So happy that we can share this experience with you guys and can ride along with us and learn too! Btw I did raise the seat a little bit since, I’m 6’ tall 😉

You need angle and try raising the tire pressure in the rear to around 45 or more. For something that low on power that should help. Also try steering the car with the throttle and letting the car car self steer a bit and correct itself.

I live in California, they just passed a new law January 1st, that if your exhaust is modified in anyways it’s a $1,000 fine and it’s not a correctible offense. I had no idea this was even on the books, I was shocked!!! The reasoning is to cut down on the illegal racers blah blah, just the stupidest thing I ever heard!!! I’m still gonna mod my exhaust and enjoy my cars, but I think the whole community around the country should know about this, there is a petition everyone is signing. CA man geez!! I need to get out of here!!!

Hi mate love ur channel good 2 c u get ur drift on. I'am no professional drifter but the best advice i can give would be try to keep ur hands @ 9&3 on the wheel letting it slip through ur hands when u start 2 slide (left hand @ 9 right hand moves from e-break back to 3) try not 2 grab the wheel till almost full lock. When u feel it get good angle grab it & counter steer, now u should b able 2 control angle with trottle & little wheel input moving ur left hand 9 to 12 and ur right hand 3 to 6 (crossing up ur hands is a technical no no). When u want to or feel the car flicking the other way its the same deal, let the wheel spin in ur hands till u like the angle then grab and counter steer using that 90 degrees u have b4 full lock (if u have already hit full lock get off the throttle and pray). Keep up the good work. Thanks for the entertainment and sharing ur tuning science.

The car isn’t exactly underpowered but it certainly could stand to use just a “bit” more power if you want to sustain some of these slides based on power alone. Most of the time the engine simply did not have the revs to keep it in the powerband. I suggest learning how to clutch kick mid corner if needed to bring the revs back up where you need them to be at and you should be able to be more consistent. You’re used to broad V8 powerbands whereas this straight 6 can’t produce in its nearly stock power level.

The calmer and smoother the inputs the more consistent you will be if you are over driving the car and turning the steering wheel too much your gonna lose sight of what you need to do because you get so caught up in all the inputs your trying to make once you are properly drifting and running a track you find a flow in it that helps judge entry speed and transition locations but the smoothness of inputs and as I’ve seen a lot of other people saying the seating position and deff harness up so you can focus on the driving and not driving and holding yourself from being thrown around 😂😂😂

Your too tense, please relax and let the car do the work. Everything happens in a slower attitude than you automatically and instinctly prepare and act on. The steering wheel will fall into the position that the car feels most comfortable at during a drift. Your doing good buddy just slow down and let the car do most of the work. Thumbs up man. Can't wait till next video. Keep em coming.

Hey Jeremy big tip bud about clutch kicking. If you just practice figure 8's and start kicking the clutch for a second to get the revs up whenever you're feeling like you are gonna straighten out it helps keep your angle going through the turn. Just get some clutch kicking run in and that technique will help you in a tremendous way. Itll also help you use the handbrake less.

I'm not an expert on drifting,or driving in general, but it seems to me that you might do better if you could see over the steering wheel? Perhaps you should try sitting on a phone book? It's like chicken soup...it might not help, but it can't hurt. I think you're missing the turn because you can't see the turn? Just my thoughts.

Try initiating a drift without e-brake and dropping the clutch instead incorporate the Scandinavian flick and once you master that everything else will be fairly easy. E46 is a tough chassis with its snap oversteer characteristics but still a great car!!

Ya need a better steering wheel buddy a smaller diameter & maybe a bit more caster angle will help the wheel self center so your hand's don't have to be so bizzy. Most drift pro's will tell ya A big part of getting better at drifting is being as comfortable & firmly secured in the correct seating position as possible there's not much point in those nice seats if your not going to mount & strap into them properly also I found studying the old Japanese style of using the power of momentum coming into a corner rather than just using HP to power slide out really helped me to get more comfortable going sideways & driving on dirt, gravel or sand & snow is also an excellent way to get more car control experience. Like playing a guitar the more ya do it the better ya get at it. Glad to see ya'll getting into one of the fastest growing forms of motorsport in the world keep up the good work

Try more entrys without the E-brake Jeremy! Just to get a lot of sidways time, E-brake is not a must all the time you enter a drift.

For a guy thats probabily 10 years older than cleetus he sure doesnt drive like it. I feel like way back when in one of cleetus's first videos where he drifted anything he had no problem at all. And from my exsperience having no power steering at all helps because the front wheels like to correct themselves and come back to center. With power steering you can kinda fuck your self and stop the wheel to early or over correct because you dont have the feel as you would without power steering
