Once I saw Batle Axe I new it was Henk Nieborg's pixel work. He has a very awesome and unique style. I love his work in Contra 4 for NDS. Pixel artists deserve credits and more documentation about them and their pixel art.

I recommend checking out The Slormancer! One of my most anticipated games! It’s a Diablo-esque Action RPG Hack And Slash that features endless content with shiny loot and procedurally generated runs but no perma-death! So lots of replayablity. Also it is made by onlu 2 people! Please check it out! Give it the recognition it deserves! :)

I'm real confused about Dawnthorn and Hazelnut Bastille. Same dev team, nearly identical gameplay mechanics but completely different visuals. Are both games being developed side-by-side? Is one a "tech demo" for the other, or some kind of "stretch goal"? I want to own both, but the Hazelnut Bastille demo is truly wonderful. Really hoping this game is still coming. Narita Boy is one I've been watching for a long time now. I'm so glad it's still in the pipeline.

In my book the Independent Developers are fixing all the "triple a" titles that's gone bad, and are now the new Tripple A Developers. 👍 I put Coromon, Zhelter in my wishlist. and keeping an eye on Creature Keeper. For The Drifter, it gave me Full Throttle (the game) vibes. 👍

Watching old videos and I can't understand what happened to the Revenant Prince... I think it got mixed reviews at launch due to bugs that made it crash, not enough hype, then changed price and nowadays is extremely cheap... maybe they gave up on fixing the bugs and abandoned the game? IF the bugs are still there. The reason I never picked it it's because I don't have the heart to fight creatures that ask me why I'm hurting them :O

The last I read on their discord the team lost it's funding and is still trying their best effort to make it happen. The lenghts that some of these indie devs must go and the sacrifices they make to bring their vision to life are staggering. I have 4 things to say about this video: 1. Why the fuck is Narita Boy a platformer now?! It looks so unpolished! I'm disappointed 2. Gestalt looks like it has alot of potential to be a good game. Since they made the art style looks nice, they also cared a bit about the gameplay. Well, that's just my opinion. 3. A Space for the Unbound is alot like Night in the Woods, except it's set in Eastern culture and has a more serious story. 4. Oddity looks FUCKING AWESOME!!! Indies don't require that much horsepower (and still look great due to art direction and not power), so a couple of those ready built ones are still alright. You do pay a little more but you save on the hassle. Most important would be graphics card, processor, RAM then storage imo
