Great to see Neil Carter back rockin n rollin as he must have been devastated when the great Gary Moore departed us so early, he probably needed a bit if this and hats off to Phil for having him involved.

I've always wanted to know more about Phil and UFO and the tensions with Schenker in the late 70s. Growing up as a music fan and guitarist, this was always a mystery to me. It just sounds a bit too simple to say Schenker had a drinking problem. What were the pressures the band was under? How could Michael split just as the band was becoming an arena powerhouse? That must have been awful for UFO. Because no matter how good the work they did with Chapman was, they never got back on the same horse. They deserved more success. Phil too. Deserves much more recognition as one of the greatest vocalists of all time.

And a fantastic lyricist
@kellydoan-ln5fr2 ай бұрын
@@angusorvid8840 Schenker had said, he didn't want the fame that was coming his way in the mid to late 70's. He wanted to do his own thing and experiment with music and he couldn't do that in a band. He did change the trajectory of UFO for sure and his departure was a massive impediment for the band getting to be as big as they no doubt would have been, as long as Schenker was around. It all worked out in the end. Schenker still sounds phenomenal live and it sounds like Phil is living his best life.

The more I hear this song the more I dig it. And I liked it from the first listen. The background vocals are stellar. Neil Carter proves that you don't have to play 8,000 notes a second to deliver a tasty lead. Tony Newton looks like he is having the time of his life. The drummer really adds to this and Apple Pie with some tasty fills. The younger guitar player steps back and provides rock solid rhythm and lets Neil do his thing. And what more needs to be said about Phil Mogg? The man is timeless and my favorite front man/singer and its not even close. I actually preordered the CD and I haven't bought a CD since Maidens Live Book of Souls.
