I love all the Maiden stuff, but there was a different aggressive tone to those first 2 albums that was mostly Paul. Ill never forget the 1st time i heard Killers and my mind was blown🤯 thank you Paul🙏🙄 RIP brother.

Don't forget the brilliant Maiden Japan recorded live w/Paul. That spent a ton of time on my turntable!! It only came out on EP 5 songs back in the day. They have it now on KZbin the full show. Some of the sound quality is a bit rough but my Lord what a show!!

i got to see maiden only once....on my 16th bday july 14 1980 long beach arena.they were the opening band for UFO.....my ears havent stopped ringing yet.now 60....i was indoctinated that night into a lifelong brotherhood....paul dianno and clive burr...RIP these guys taught bands like metallica...john denver just didnt do it for me after that experience....if your earwax doesnt melt and runout....you dont have it loud enough.....need to listen on an old analog stereo

I was 18 already into 70's classic rock bands and then along came Maiden and the NWOBHM scene and it felt like we had our own scene and movement and was a part of something special which ultimately it was influencing and spawning so much afterwards. R.I.P. Paul Di'Anno.

As a teenager 40 years ago I remember living in some hick - town on the Kansas / Oklahoma border, where I discovered a record shop with nothing but heavy metal records, posters, photographs of concerts, etc. I bought KILLERS instead of THE NUMBER OF THE BEAST (which was just released) and my first copy of KERRANG magazine. I've always loved Paul and Maiden era with him, although a short one. I just feel he had such a hard life and I always felt sorry for him and wished him well. I hope he is in peace and that he can see and feel the outpouring of love. Also, his voice. Pure magic. It's like drugs to my ears. Very addictive.
