Sabas are terrible quality, bought a pair of Pro series prime, lasted 6 months. Leather worn away, padding dented, never again.

Simon Hope , haven’t had any issues with mine yet . I love them the pro series fit my hand real good and they’re are compact . And I haven’t seen any wear on them.

How do these differ/compare to Fly x in terms of punching feel? Fly's feel quite tight, so not the best for bag work but feel light and fast for sparring (16oz). I'm looking for a good bag glove. Own the Rival rs100s (great protection but big) and Sabas Pro series prime (great initially but lack construction quality)

Hey Simon, Thanks for all your reviews they’ve been very helpful! Where can I get legit hook and loop 16 ounce cleto Reyes gloves? Currently I see you can get them on ringside, and I read on sherdog they are authorized to do so, however I am not sure if this is the case. I don’t want the extra padding brand, just original Reyes gloves. Cleto Reyes site itself doesn’t have much selection but some of these other sites do have many options. Just like I followed you to get legitimate winning gloves I hope you can shed some light on this subject because I do enjoy the recoil effect of the cleto style gloves!

What's a good way of protecting the logo on the back of a glove?

Put the gloves straight into a cloth glove bag after use then into your holdall -make sure you don’t put them on the gym floor this is how the logo can start to chip-don’t let them fall on the floor or leave them on the ring-just generally look after them whilst you are in the gym - once home air them out logos up ) sounds a bit extreme but once the logo starts to chip it can start the whole logo to come off

14oz if just bag for your weight 16oz if you are going to do any sparring at all in them

Punchers gloves is a term normally for fight gloves like Cleto Reyes horse hair fight gloves and Everlast Mx -they are less protective for the hand and designed to be more damaging to the opponent due to the knuckle padding

Anyone else have issues with the thumb attachment tearing on these gloves? I used mine maybe 10 times on a bag and both attachments are torn halfway through.

That shouldn’t happen have you got in contact with the place you bought them from Reyes are normally very durable thumb attachments as well

Fit2Box They were from Amazon. I’ve emailed Reyes with the amazon order number and photos of the condition of the gloves when I got them (I got them from someone that used them once and I’m guessing they only hit pads with them for 10 min. Absolutely brand new. Even the logo was perfect condition). No response from them though and it’s been a week. Not so excited about their customer service tbh.

How wide are these in 14oz and 16 oz? Is there a difference in width and ergonomics between the Lace up vs Velcro style?

I didn’t measure that but ergonomically no difference just 16oz are slightly bigger

Caleb Yi well with Reyes it’s a bit of a strange one because if you are sparring with them they are a harder sparring glove - so a heavyweight at our gym normally wears 16oz in reyes I would recommend 18oz (even though they prob weigh 19 or 20oz on the scale- with Reyes it is more the size of the glove that you are looking for , what weight and height are you? Are you pro or amateur ? With they be for full 80% plus power sparring ?

2 pair I've had. Both pairs the logo on the glove peeled right off after 2 rounds on the bag. Beware.

@@SCabanlitProductions yep!! Update. Yesterday they responded and blamed me for peeling the logos off. They sent me a picture of my gloves. I said...look in box. They're all wrinkled up and they are in there. I also screenshotted the emails from them that approved the warranty. I think calling my credit card company and avoiding the transaction would be easier.

These are gloves for fancy boys. Just like girls & make up Everybody must do what they like, but its a select group of boxers that are behaving like its more important how you look than how you box. Mayweather, Broner, kind of additude. More real men like tyson, dont have that problem. Brand isnt that important, look? Well any even colour is ok. They must be good.. now.. Stop the whole cosmopolitan crap and lets box!!

No it’s not classic Mexican glove with that classic Reyes badge and Mexican heritage in the big fights topped off by the ability to now get them in two colours -Beautiful gloves they even smell beautiful 🔥

@@Fit2Box ergonomically they look awful. Remove the brand name and the placebo disapears. Best looking glove was the fortress you reviewed. I think fly glove look ergonomically sound.

@@saif1980saif It depends. their newer models are designed comfortably but are built like shit. The old design follows your description but is built amazing. Look at my review on those pairs. I may be looking ino Necali or Seyer gloves instead...
