Kevin, I hope it isn’t cancer but the only way they will know is with a biopsy. You have the same symptoms my son had. He has stage 4 lymphoma. He was treated at MD Anderson. They are top notch. They treated him aggressively because they said by the time he was diagnosed he was days from death and none of us had a clue! Go to someone else and don’t wait around. Best of luck to you. By the way, my son has no evidence of disease after 4 months of treatment. Praise God!

Kevin I went through something similar and I was told I had a pulled muscle. Trust Your gut.I got a second opinion and was sent to a Oncologist and mine turned out to be stage4 terminal cancer.I ended up doing immune therapy and beat the cancer.Def trust Your gut and be Your own advocate and find the best Oncologist You can in Your area.I got lucky as I had alot of time wasted.But I had a top Oncologist and She acted fast In treatment and I beat a death sentence and My Oncologist was blown away at how great immune therapy worked for Me.But time is a big factor so good Luck and hope You dont have cancer.If You do then the best thing is beleive You can beat it.The minds a powerful thing and I beleived In My Oncologist and My treatment plan.I was given 2 yrs but I beat it and I'm cancer free 6 yrs now.Best of LUCK to You

I’m so sorry Kevin! My husband is experiencing similar frustration with his health care in Florida. He had cancer and now he has complications from the radiation treatment. Finding a good doctor is a joke! Getting an appointment is almost impossible! I could write a book about it but I feel your frustration! Hugs and prayers to you!

Hey Kevin, sorry to hear about the wacko doctor visit. Chances are if you go to three different doctors you will get three different diagnosis anyway. Patients are nothing but walking bank notes in their eyes. I trust in your ability to work through this, you are very resourceful and wise. God bless.

If you have a blood work ask for the white blood cells count and If it is normal you have a very good chance it's not.Also request a needle biopsy that takes a minute in a doctor office.My dad was told sorry Charlie and was in tears and a second opinion gave him 3 full decade more of life With a needle biopsy and passed on from natural causes at 93 years and 11 months.

Unbelievable your experience ! But I am glad you are outspoken and pushing forward ! You have to be your own advocate because nobody will go the extra mile for you! I research every medicine I am supposed to take ! My new pills cost for a month 60 pills $ 17.000 no kidding - I thought that was a printing mistake ! So hang in there and good luck!

I would definitely relay this to your doctor in NY and request to see an oncologist immediately. So sorry this happened to you. I had 2 bouts of cancer 17 yr ago. You have to be your own activist and take them to task. Praying for you.

There just seems to be no heart in the medical world today nor dedication. My wife and I are currently going through some cardiac issues right now and it's near impossible to get any real answers to our issues unless we point bank refuse to leave the Dr's office hence delaying another patient.

Kevin .. I have dealt with chronic medical issue for 4 years.... It is awful. Most of these doctors are clueless. You have no idea the battle to try and get credible help... You have to keep advocating for yourself... Some advice to you or your viewers.. if you want to run certain blood work without getting your doctors involved there are places like Ulta labs where you can order your bloodwork WITHOUT your doctor involved.

Our Hospital is the Same . 16 million dollar Lobby (fact) and the rooms look like they did 20 yrs ago. They just built a 70 million dollar office building in Altoona ..and closed our local clinic leaving 7000 of us to drive to another town for care . It’s all about the Money!

Keven yes please go with your gut my mom was told she had carpal tunnel I knew in my heart it was something worse i knew it with all my heart but my whole family ignored me 2 months went by bit just got worst i kept telling my family please please check it out for other tedt well they finally listened but it was to late it was cancer spread everywhere she lived little over a year i wish to this day they would of listened im the youngest she lived near my older sister so she took was like the boss of my parents i don't blame them because I know they were just doing what they thought was best and the doctot was supposed to be one of the best in Charlotte anyway please go to another doctor soon love you both God Bless

Why were you sent to this particular hospital? Wish you would have (stealthy) filmed the areas that looked so dated- hard to imagine. The hospital near me is pristine and they are always improving the interior to keep it looking very modern. Sorry your experience was disappointing 😢

Wow. Sorry this happened to you. Why is no one having you get a PET scan? That would show every cancer cell if you have cancer. Xrays, MRI's arent really what you need. Did your blood work ups show cancer cells or elevated white cells? Come on down to Florida, we have Moffit Hospital and they are amazing at helping cancer patients! Sending you prayers for the best results.

Kevin, 1st off... I would get to the bottom of Who's idea it was to send you to that type of doctor? Ridiculous... Similar story... Years ago, I was referred to a wacky dermatologist. I realized my own self that I had a allergy to a new laundry detergent. And I never went back. Told my doctor to never send me back to that place and he shouldn't send anyone else there. Praying. Gosh Kevin, what a disappointment for you. The Mayo Clinic’s are the best in the world. We have one here in phoenix. Great hospitals. I wish you could have went to Mayo. Such a shame y’all’s day was totally wasted

If you know in your gut that this needs further checking then get it done. My mom trusted her doctor cat scan didn’t show anything then 6 months later after having 2 cat scan told her she had stage 3 b lung cancer. Trust your gut. My mom should have pushed for another cat scan 6 months prior

I just googled benign bone tumors and while they are usually painless they can cause bone pain and Drs will usually do a watch and wait approach. I assume if it got to big it could cause more pain. If it was me I wouldn't want Doctors cutting on me for something that is benign and risking the chance of giving me more pain from cutting on my bones or cutting a nerve etc.

What an experience huh, many health facilities are like this, many of the old distinguished hospitals with great reputations earn a high badge but get old, the country facilities of course are more modern and up to date, as far as the crews go you would think the old places would have the best, sounds like you went to an old VA hospital.

It certainly sounds like someone screwed up having made your appointment with an Orthopedic surgeon. Glad you have a plan B already. One thing about being in your situation with possible cancer is that you MUST be your own advocate! Unfortunately your primary care doctor that is so good, is a very rare find now days. Do your own research, read reviews etc. before you make another appointment. That feeling you had of "not caring" about the pain you've had in your arm is a red flag for you to take note of. A sign and symptom of depression. Believe me Kevin, I've been there and understand. Your moving forward now, you have Bridgette in your life, and you do care, and so does she. It's certainly is not like it used to be when seeing a doctor. You have to do your own research about your condition. And as much as I hate to say it, the majority of younger doctors now don't have near the education and experience they used to. The majority of their education is spent on learning what drugs from Big Pharma they need to get you dependent on, not treating the illness that you have. I'm sorry this happened to you, it's happened to me before as well, and it doesn't increase your trust in the profession. I bet you felt like "what the heck kind of place is this?", when you saw how dirty it was. I know I may have got up and just walked out at that point. Don't give up, there are still some good doctors out there, you've just got to take the time to find them. Ask all of your friends and family about their experiences, and especially ask nurses who work with lots of them when you have access to them. Wishing you well Kev

You know you are in trouble when the doctor says, "What can I do for you". Same thing happened to me with a doctor. So right there, if they are wanting me to take charge of a subject I know nothing about, I know they are loser. I went to another doctor, who was fabulous. Who was the complete opposite of "What can I do for you." The new doctor, TOOK CHARGE!! because they were confident in their abilities!! What a loser that person was. I am so sorry that you drove out there only to hear, "What can I do for you?" That is horrible medical care!!!

1st, allow me to say it saddens me for you & your wife are dealing with this. I lost my husband 1 year ago to cancer. The 1st thing Americans MUST NEVER forget involving any issue concerning money. The US is a CAPITALIST country. Profit before people will ALWAY be the priority. Always has..... Including medical. The so called declaration of Independence was for for a few citizens NOT all. And I have not even begin to cover the people of color or females. As for tonight.
