43-mile ride on the Summit Bike & Hike Trail

This Summit Metro Parks gem was one of the first rails-to-trails conversions in the country. I rode the entire trail, 43 miles roundtrip, starting at the Alexander Road Trailhead in Bedford. A shorter ride would be to trek to Brandywine Falls about 6.5 miles south on the trail.

Make sure you go prepared with plenty of good energy snacks or this trail will whip you because alot of the road crossings are like steep little hill climbs and there are not any handy stops to eat or by snacks. I recorded 47 miles.
