Solid innovative engineering looks comfy. Was wondering about the lack of back pillow but then you can just use a pillow ...

This was great, thanks, I've been looking for "build contemporary furniture" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Venoffison Wooden Exploration - (do a google search ) ? Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my partner got excellent success with it.

I bought a large white trunk to store my infant niece’s stuff in kzbin.infoUgkxNuLbiXpLQ-mKH5NlyjrNe88hiCk2N3Cg , as she comes to my house frequently. For now, it’s toys on one side and diapers, wipes, and other baby care items on the other. As she gets older, it will be all toys. I had originally wanted a trunk with a hinged lid, but I was afraid of her smashing or pinching her fingers in it. This will be a much safer option. The lid has great padding in it and it is actually nice to sit on. It feels very sturdy and secure. Looks like it can be wiped clean easily. If it gets abused by her, I won’t be terribly upset because I paid less than $50 for it on Prime Day.

The ratchet strapping for the hinge is a genius move. When I saw it come out I thought it was for frame gluing in lieu of a clamp, but that's just top notch, out of the box thinking. That's a great solution to a flexible panel joint to have in my arsenal.

As an amateur with woodworker, i typically feel overpowered with the entire arrangement kzbin.infoUgkxrYREG3-7f1Aqk9ams3ZESRNzGnfdUtyQ . Be that as it may, this arrangements drove me through with much clarity and effortlessness woodplans. Works i now work like a genius. That is great!

Hi Laura. just discovered your channel, like your designs. I actually slept on a bed like this in the military. Instead of making the backboard and top fold - only the top was a lid. the backboard rotated around an off center point and when not in the front position was snug against hte back . the lid stayed open . This way you have no lose parts and convert even quicker :-) . The backboard was padded as well making it a comfortable back support in the "down" position... Keep inventing

My girlfriend had something very similar in her tiny college appartement a couple years back. Main differences were that the bed portion was on wheels and could be rolled forward to expose the mattress fully and, hence, the backrest was fixed. Not uncomfortable to sleep on - just too small for two people ;) I think I prefer your design as it gives you very convenient storage behind the backrest and converting to a bed does not increase footprint, which is important in tiny places. Also, her version had storage under the mattress, but I guess you could add this to your design in a pinch if you really wanted. Great video, keep it up!
