Thank you for making these videos. You're a genius with how you use pictures, present time drive sequences, wonderful narratives and current maps. Your talent for blending "then and now" is amazing.

Loved the video, I had my mom watch it. My parents owned the original Brothers Grimm. I also shared it with my children as they are Heinleins and we never knew there were relatives at that end of the township.

Thanks Tim, really enjoy these videos. Back in 1991 I rented a house in Moon Run near the old mine, now a slag heap. The owner's great grandfather ran produce delivery from there to town via McKees Rocks Road in the late 1800's. Been fascinated about the history of that area ever since.

Grew up near Imperial and went to a Christian school on Philips lane.. currently live in Crafton. Very interesting history. A lot of editing on your part. GREAT VIDEO! Would love to see more of the area’s history- Just moved back to Pittsburgh after 6 years of living in Cincinnati. Keep it up!

Thank you for the nostalgia blast. My family moved to Robinson in the late sixties and the area still felt and was incredibly bucolic. Other schools would call the Montour Spartans the Farmers. Not anymore.

Tim, just watched some of this. I have some Clever ancestors that I wonder if they owned those farms. My Great-grandfather was David K. Clever who lived in Coraopolis. In particular, I was looking at those old maps you were showing. Could you share the source of those? I happened to see the names M. Clever, D. Clever and And or Aud Clever. I'd like to research those particular individuals. Thanks.

These might not be much help but here are a few links to start. They didn't seem to include many first names. Double click the maps to blow them up. www.loc.gov/resource/g3823a.la000702/ www.loc.gov/resource/g3823a.la000704/ historicpittsburgh.org/islandora/object/pitt%3A76v01p43/from_search/-39 www.loc.gov/resource/g3823a.ct008171/

Tim, these are perfect! Thank you for sharing. I did notice that there aren't a lot of first names on the maps. I have a cousin there near Coraopolis that I can share with. He might be able to run down those Clevers and put first names with them.

If it were Cleaver Rd. then at the intersection with Beaver Rd. It would be Beaver-Cleaver!

I remember before the Montour Run Road project, just past the Beaver Grade Rd. intersection with Clever, there was a horseback riding place on the left that my grandparents used to take us to. I also remember how Beaver Grade went up the hill and how twisty the road was. It got straightened sometime before 1964 at the same time they did Montour Run Rd. I'd love to see pictures of these if any exist.

I used to ride the ponies down there, as well. Then we would go to the duck pond near the (now) Moon VFD near Moon Park. You might be interested in this link if you haven't seen it from the Time Travel With Tim videos. kzbin.info/www/bejne/jXeZop5ubZeUr6c

We also fed the ducks there, too. I have an 8mm home movie briefly showing the duck pond and a couple of airplanes flying over in 1965. There was another duck pond on Heckel Rd. across from Ohio Vally Hospital as well.

Fantastic video i grew up in Robinson and only moved right down the road I'm on clever road almost everyday I really enjoyed your work! Maybe this could help out I found the site www.pennpilot.psu.edu and I have found I have the best luck with downloading the pictures in the high (high resolution) they are kind of grainy but really show you where stuff was they are old USDA aerial photographs from different time frames.
